jchocchip · 21/06/2013 22:17

Hi malt! Wobble away. Hugs x

jchocchip · 21/06/2013 22:18

I mean don't worry about wobbling on here, we've all done it...

malteserzz · 21/06/2013 22:21

I was at a party just had to come home couldn't face it anymore
I don't think I can do this

jchocchip · 21/06/2013 22:24

Lily, sorry to hear your news. Quite a gang of new girls at the moment. Stick with us for handholding and cake and Wine
Kk sorry to hear things aren't good irl. Hugs.

notJenkins · 21/06/2013 22:27

I became a hermit after dx and could not talk to anyone so you did well to get to a party !

Wobble away we know how you feel .

jchocchip · 21/06/2013 22:29

Malt. Sorry to hear that. You will be able to do it and you will find ways to cope. Maybe you just weren't in the mood for a party. I did find telling people hard. What do you usually find relaxes you? Horlicks or cocoa and chocolate ...

jchocchip · 21/06/2013 22:32

Drove down the m1 at a snails pace tonight. M42 was ok. Mum seems ok, on phone to good friend when I arrived and couple of nice carers put her to bed... dd has masses of sorting and packing to do...

malteserzz · 21/06/2013 22:32

Thanks I'm being over dramatic again

notJenkins · 21/06/2013 22:34

Cancer is a big hairy deal we have the right to be drama queens if we want to sometimes.

malteserzz · 21/06/2013 22:35

Jchoc it's just seeing everyone else without a care in the world
And my friend who had her op in the bed opposite me only has to have radiotherapy which is great and I'm pleased for her but it's not fair
That makes me sound horrible
I'm glad your mum is ok
I have a cup of tea
X

malteserzz · 21/06/2013 22:37

NotJ thank you
And people were talking about next year and shall we do this and go there and it was just all too much

notJenkins · 21/06/2013 22:43

I developed a serious case of cancer Tourette's and was not safe around people's trivial problems as I wanted to scream at them.

I am over it now ( mostly) so it does pass.

jchocchip · 21/06/2013 23:00

Its a bugger isn't it. I know what you mean about the tourettes....

jchocchip · 21/06/2013 23:07

Mum ok because she is asleep. She is in constant pain when awake and doesn't have the strength to shift position. Can't move to reach things. Can't go into kitchen to cook. But David Harewood was on tv and she used to teach him so a few happy stories and off to sleep.

malteserzz · 21/06/2013 23:12

I'm glad she's asleep must be terrible to be in so much pain
I need to pull myself together as its ds birthday tomorrow he will be up early to open his presents

jchocchip · 21/06/2013 23:20

Happy Birthday to minimalt for tomorrow! Is there cake???

malteserzz · 21/06/2013 23:31

Thanks there will be lots of cake and sweets and football kits and visits to the fair though I have drawn the line at goldfish !

jchocchip · 22/06/2013 06:53

We used to have goldfish but haven't got around to getting new ones. Se of them moved house twice, quite a performance.

jchocchip · 22/06/2013 06:54

I should learn to tell the time, got up at 5.30 thinking it was 6.30 so mum has had early breakfast...

NedSchneebly · 22/06/2013 07:47

Happy birthday LittleMalt - hope he has a lovely day! Did you sleep in the end malt? So sorry you had a wobble - IRS c

NedSchneebly · 22/06/2013 07:54

Bollocks, too soon . . .

It's completely understandable and normal, you know? Jeez, we've all done it, and know exactly what it feels like. Just take one step at a time and stick with us x x x

NJ what news over your way? Lunch sometime soon? You still FT working? We'll sort a weekend then. Maybe get DCs together x x

kk we love you. Hope you feel you can come back to us soon. You have been such a support to me (and everyone else) that I feel bad you being on your own with shitty stuff. Big Dorset hugs your way x x

Better get up I suppose. DS has got his first football match this morning against another local under 6s team. He's ridiculously excited!

Hope everyone has a good day x x

MaryAnnSingleton · 22/06/2013 08:56

happy birthday young malt !
Hope you have a lovely day malt - remember that everyone has some crap in their lives, whether you can see it or not,and as my onc. said yesterday, everyone's bc is different so your friend having 'just' rads is still dealing with the impact, though her treatment will be a little different.
Interesting thing on R4 Today programme about 'fighting' cancer and 'bravery' (on just now, just before 9am)

topsyturner · 22/06/2013 09:03
