Am in Bangkok airport at who-knows-what-o'clock.Ds asleep on sofa next to me, as it's about 1am in Aus time. Stuck here for another few hours until flight home. Have had a totally fab time, though not at all restful. Not so much a holiday, more an experience... Grin

Just been reading through and so v Angry to see your news Pink,so wanted to just post that really. Bloody bastard disease. Huge hugs from me. Wish I could say something useful, but it's just crap isn't it. ((((((Sad))))))) xxx

Too late and too addled to post more now. Waving enthusiastically to all, with one eye on duty free. Giant Toblerones are in sight - will shovel one each for you onto the fbt. Smile

Had three tattoo blue dots today ready for the radiotherapy. I've never had a tattoo before, and now I have three!

Gigondas · 06/09/2012 21:01

Grin I got quite excited about the tattoos too. I was disappointed as they weren't going to give me one at first.

When does your radio start and how long for invicta?

OP posts:
jchocchip · 06/09/2012 21:39

Evening all

three tats, invicta now don't go taking lessons from topsy and flashing them at all and sundry Grin
bit worried about friend who hasn't replied to last email, but maybe she is on holiday.
Finished at work today for a week, going to take dd2 to my mums so she can enrol at uni. Should be a good time to show her around Birmingham and buy a bus pass.

invicta · 06/09/2012 21:59

Gigondas - in a couple of weeks.

amberlight · 06/09/2012 22:26

Pink, serious suggestions continuing...sleep in a very dark bedroom. It prevents melatonin misfire and that helps slow cancer down. Take plenty of Vit D and eat blueberries, cabbage, broccoli, raspberries. All of those have good research showing they may prevent further cancer growth. And take lactoferrin supplement. Available on the internet. Good research linking to equally good results. Meantime, prayers aplenty to go with your mention of faith.
Had a wobble today. Alright after a cider and much hug from dh.

overthemill · 07/09/2012 08:58

morning all, busy day yesterday and very very tired today. had tel calls from 2 very old friends who had just heard about me and had to tell each my tales of woe and it made me very mis. silly really but then again it was so good to hear from them (one lives 100s of miles away now but was in my NCT group and we were mates for years after) and the other lives just around the corner but ahs been looking after poorly fil all holidays.

daughter started new school in a flurry of big anticlimax all night - she'd wanted instant perfection and she got...RL! big stepd comes back from interrailing today so that will be fun.

amber what great suggestions! i will follow them too. mindfulness i know of but someone i know suggests it may not be quite right for me at my stage in this illness. maybe for a bit later.

waves to everyone else - glad most people seem 'ok' at the moment, isn't it good to have some autumn sunshine?

jchocchip · 07/09/2012 09:33

lovely sunny day here. Will put a Brew on...

graciesmall09 · 07/09/2012 09:43

Morning all, onc appointment for me this afternoon. Feeling very nervous. Have been poking at my new lump and it feels big. Not really sure how I will cope if it is something bad.

Good luck to anyone with tests/results today.

Glad to hear topsy saved the people of Belfast yesterday from manky boobage Grin. Will remember to avoid a 7a next week.

amber I'm going to steal your suggestions as well. I am willing to try anything to keep this stupid thing away.

mas my 15 year old needs a swift kick up the butt. He has always sailed through doing very little but getting great results - until this year. He was devastated to see a couple of C's on his report card - just hope he can pull his socks up before his GSCEs next year. Hope T has settled back into school.

Great to see you nearly home smee.

Waves to all.

overthemill · 07/09/2012 10:18

gracie good luck, i hope you get the news as soon as possible and it is all managable. My 16 yo didn't get as good results as he was predicted, while he could be suffering from the grade boundary thing, he also might not have worked hard enough think he's learned his lesson, saw him doing homework yesterday even before term starts! he wants to go to cambridge (he says) so he will have to pull his finger out

NedSchneebly · 07/09/2012 10:25

Fingers crossed for you, gracie. Hope you can get some answers this afternoon.

How are we all this morning? I am completely fed up with having achy knees and feet. I know its partly because I am carrying a lot some extra weight, but also the Tamoxifen, I think? Bored bored bored. And I am trying to be good and take some exercise. . . walked about 3 miles yesterday and then could barely make it up the stairs at bed time! Does it get any easier, those on tamoxifen?

MaryAnnSingleton · 07/09/2012 10:46

lots of good luck gracie

Sometimesiwonder · 07/09/2012 11:47

I think it does settle down, a bit, Ned. Or maybe you just get used to it. Not sure. But anyway, after a while it doesn't feel so bad

More support here for Gracie - thinking of you, girl, and hoping for the best possible news....

Gigondas · 07/09/2012 11:57

Fingers crossed for you gracie

Waves to everyone else esp those like ned who are feeling achy.

Brew on for all

MaryAnnSingleton · 07/09/2012 13:13

I have an appointment with chest consultant on Tuesday.

Sometimesiwonder · 07/09/2012 13:22

Well I hope that can put your mind at rest then, MAS. Not too long to wait...
