impressed by sparkle well done you !
Just dashing off to do some work but thinking of gig
Hope kk is less scratchy today.
Love the picture of the kitty at your door topsy -cuteness !
No aches this morning, think it was stress- had a very exhausting dream though.

Sometimesiwonder · 19/06/2012 12:00

Am betting it was stress too. Take care!

smee · 19/06/2012 13:08

sparkle am cheering your 14lbs. does sound like a busy week though, so you take care. Smile

gracie kurri's right - steroids are a sod for weight gain. And on pert breasts, I know, am a spoilt brat really. Amuses me to no longer need a bra, though I still don't like them. They don't feel at all like breasts, so like I'm wearing them the whole time - sort of like a very supportive bra in lots of ways, though I suppose it's all under the skin rather than on top of. Confused

MAS, definitely stress then. That's a relief in some ways then? Sunny today. Smile

Sometimes ooh hark at you with your Sykpe. Are you power dressed to match? Grin

Topsy are you stretching..?

Sometimesiwonder · 19/06/2012 13:51

Nah, it all went (ahem) tits up. Sad

Original call was set for 11: we tested DH's Skype and it connected to client fine. Call was then rescheduled for 1 so it was me on my own as DH went out - my Skype would connect to the client, but NOT to the conference call we needed to have. Go figure - 'cos I can't Angry Going to have to be another day now..... sigh.

I am just off for a quiet swear.....

KurriKurri · 19/06/2012 14:15

Oh no - that's annoying Sometimes Sad

Sometimesiwonder · 19/06/2012 14:25

Hello KK, how's the itchy bits?

I see you are using the downtime to offer wise advice elsewhere on MN....

smee · 19/06/2012 14:28

Kurri's sharing herself with others?? Shock

KurriKurri · 19/06/2012 14:31

Grin - I got rather bored, so thought I'd spread my wisdom!

Sometimesiwonder · 19/06/2012 14:32

Sound advice much of it is too - especially the views on chunky legs

smee · 19/06/2012 16:33

Can't believe stupid picc playing up again so chemo is being delayed. I was sent back to hospital to get x-ray, arrived to be told no dr to sign form so back home again and going back tomorrow for a linogram. Has anyone had one? I was so looking forward to having this one over with as this would be half way.

Aw wee kitten sounds lovely topsy. Birds aren't allowed to even fly over our garden without my stupid mutt going mad so think he would have a heart attack if a kitten came acalling.

Sometimesiwonder · 19/06/2012 17:21

I want a kitten to knock my door Envy

Poor Gracie Sad It would have been nice to break the halfway mark. But if your onc is anything like mine, he/she won't stand for much on the delay front. I'm sorry, I have NO idea what a linogram is: never had a PICC line.

Have a Wine or three. x

SparkleRainbow · 19/06/2012 17:33

did someone say Wine.....is it too early, no? Well I'll have a large one then please.

Baskets45 · 19/06/2012 17:47

A linogram is a very original medical term for a 'dec' at your line, using xray and contrast dye. All they are doing is checking position of said line. If fine, then chemo can go ahead; if not in right location, then they'll have to place another line. Hope that won't be necessary for you, gracie.

Sorry, not read much 'properly' as very tired. My outing yesterday (and, I suspect, my sore booby, which is now exuding so much more comfortable at site of abscess, but there is general achiness in that boob which suggests mastitis-like condition aargh!!) taken it out of me rather. Persuaded ds1 to get out of his pjs, lay down his laptop (moi, guilty of double standards, non), and take his little bro to art class, so at least I've had a day near home, but been out locally so a bit weary. So, as before, you are all in my thoughts and I wish you well, whatever is happening to you. Though i did note clever kitten in NI, and I read mas's blog yesterday - can quite see why you might be stressed by it, but an interesting read. Well done!

AND my Scandanavian studies can begin. HMV had offer on DVDs of Stieg Larsson trilogy.

xxxx

Baskets45 · 19/06/2012 17:50

And in HMV (yesterday) baskets found herself handing over £20 to cover 3 Stieg Larsson (? spelling) films, and just had to choose, as the 4th, one with George Clooney. Despite lying awake at night worrying about money .....

Baskets45 · 19/06/2012 17:55

And, as DS and I both said last night when DH asked 'which one?', 'the American one', and I added ' the one not young enough to be my son'. I think he meant which film, but I still can't remember, also it was only a fiver and had Geo Clooney in it, so what else matters?

thegreylady · 19/06/2012 19:29

Hope gig is doing ok.
I usually mumsnet/fb on my android tablet but for some reason it will let me read but not post even though I am logged in.In addition it wont access the tam Thread on fb at all.It has just 'upgraded' with the result that I cant do some things that were fine before Angry .I will catch up with everyone soon but now I am on the laptop I want to nip into fb to see if I can post there.
Congratulations on the Silver Jubilee everyone :)

amberlight · 19/06/2012 19:43

jchocchip · 19/06/2012 19:54

On a more somber note, friend at work has a dx of colon cancer with liver mets. bum, bu**ery, bastard. She wasn't in today. Waiting to hear what treatment plan will be. I sort of guessed it wasn't good news from what she said yesterday.

KurriKurri · 19/06/2012 19:55

Well done master amber SmileSmile
Wine sounds like a very good idea

KurriKurri · 19/06/2012 19:56

Oh jane - x-posted, so sorry about your friend Sad

jchocchip · 19/06/2012 19:56

grey I deleted a lot of apps from my android tablet even the mn one. fb was the worst. take up too much memory. I just go to the website rather than the app and it works for me, usually...

jchocchip · 19/06/2012 20:05

xpost kk yes, it's sad. I don't know whether to text her and let her know I know. Will see her next week hopefully.
Have taken three days leave to visit Mum and then my brother is coming to visit me for the weekend.
