Thanks gracie Smile Results are 'within 10 days' Hmm

Serves you right for hoovering!

KurriKurri · 05/07/2012 16:47

gracie - its a local cancer support centre that I go to - one of those old fashioned doctors surgeries that were the doctors house, converted into a support centre. So very homely - big kitchen, - old pine table you can sit round and have a chat, lounge with log fire in winter, and lots of rooms for yoga, massage, reflexology etc etc. - It's a great place - everywhere should have one.

I don't know how much it costs to go to hypnotherapist privately, - I know my friend went years ago after she'd tried everything else to give up smoking, and it worked - she hasn't smoked since. (I guess some people make better subjects than other - don't know if I'll be able to relax and let go enough)

My dog attacks the hoover too Grin - she has identified it as a rather upper class member of The Brush Family - all of who's members must be destroyed before they try to kill her owners and take over the world Grin

Sometimes - hope the results come back quickly, try not to feel too anxious (easier said than done I know - I'm due mine soon and I'll feel just the same as you)

smee · 05/07/2012 17:15

Ooh gig well done on the hair. Quite a milestone, but liberating in a way. Taking control is always good I think. Must have been hard though. I think you look good too. Smile

((((hugs, Kurri carefully)))) You must feel wretched and aren't being self centred at all. Hope Dr can give you bigger pills. Good news about DH though. At least that's something positive.

Sometimes bugger, re: extra picture. No point telling you not to read something into it, because of course you will. I had extra pics taken with mine last time though. Was because they didn't get a good pic first time and all was fine, so I'd say yours will be too.

MAS AND gracie hoovering?! Am hoping it's not contagious.. Grin

Topsy that's a horrid dream, poor you. And Gig's orange men are enough to tip anyone over the edge. Grin

MAS I'd try DS on the anti-histhamines. Won't harm him, so it's got to be worth a go. Boots own brand, non-drowsy are fine if you haven't got any in.

MaryAnnSingleton · 05/07/2012 17:54

dashes in offering brownies- must go and work- but wanted to say hello...anti histamines- good idea -dh has some for hayfever, non drowsy stuff.

I had hypnotherapy some years ago- was quite relaxing I must say- am not sure how much for the hour. My BIL is a hypnotherapist and does weight loss hypno.
Poor S very upset as their classes for next term have been mixed up so she's not with her best friend Sad - I'd forgotten how vital these things seem...

Gigondas · 05/07/2012 17:58

Thanks for all nice thoughts about hair. It has made me wobbly (not helped by bad night) but I am more comfy and pleased opted to shave it as does feel like taking control.

I feel need good nights sleep as can see wobbles going downhill if I don't - I rang my specialist nurse for a pep talk which helped though.

What I wouldn't do for a Wine ESP as I have meet big gig new teacher in an hour and dh running late from work. Do I debut the wig, scarf it or get my dungarees on and brave it with my gi jane? Sorely tempting with the yummy mummy brigade...

graciesmall09 · 05/07/2012 18:05

Any Facebook experts? My imbecile of a BIL has posted one of his idiotic videos on my wall and I can't remove it. He needs to a) grow up, b) get a job and c) get a life. If I can't remove it how do I make it invisible to all my friends?

graciesmall09 · 05/07/2012 18:07

sorry gigs cross post. I would do exactly what you feel most comfortable with. I have got passed the point of worrying what everyone else thinks. I don't wear anything about the house but do slip a scarf or hat on when answering the door. I only wear my wig when I want to. Are you not allowed Wine on your chemo? I was told not for a couple of days around chemo time but then it was ok. Hope you get some sleep tonight. I will send sleepy vibes your way.

graciesmall09 · 05/07/2012 18:08

What has happened to my English????? past not passed Blush

Gigondas · 05/07/2012 18:15

Can't you side swipe on it ifyswim and remove. I can't see your wall so maybe it's limited access

OP posts:
NedSchneebly · 05/07/2012 18:19

I would, agree with Gracie, gig go with whatever you feel most comfy in. What's your gut feeling? Definitely agree with the taking control thing - I felt completely th same. Hope meeting with big gigs teacher goes OK.

Poor kurri sorry youre still feeling so rotten. Glad to hear things positive for DH.

gracie on FB, next to the name of your imbecile BIL above video there should be a symbol denoting who can see it - world, friends etc. there shoud be an option to set it to 'only me'. Think that might work?!

Sometimes can't really comment on mammos, but wanted to send you paranoia-busting vibes and hugs x

Waves to smee you're not working too hard are you?

Waves to Topsy, MAS, bollocks and anyone else around this fine sunny evening!

graciesmall09 · 05/07/2012 18:20

Eventually I managed to get it off. He is such atit prat. Sorry. Can you not see my wall at all gigs?

Gigondas · 05/07/2012 18:34

Nope but that may be my phone

OP posts:
Figgyroll · 05/07/2012 20:44

Evening ladies and a huge welcome to Bollocks. Sorry you had to join us but, now you're here we will offer support, wine and endless FBS. Smile

DS had a late appointment yesterday and the doc is confident it's nothing to worry about, maybe an infected cyst (as it's tender and painful) so has arranged for a scan. DS feels confident that it's nothing to worry about based on the doc's comments but, although I am smiling and keeping calm on the outside, on the inside I am a bit of a wreck. I wont be calm till I know for sure it's nothing to worry about.

Gigs, you look gorgeous with or without hair. Shaving it off is a huge thing but it's a means to an end and you'll soon be sprouting new stuff. Just hope it's not wild and curly like mine.

KK, sorry to hear you're still suffering from the shingles. Sad

Off to walk the dog now it's cooler. Waves to MAS, Smee, Amber, Ned, Jane, Gracie, Topsy, Sometimes and everyones else. Will do a proper readthrough tomorrow.

MaryAnnSingleton · 05/07/2012 22:09

I know you'll continue to worry until they are certain what the problem is figgy but good that it's v likely to be a cyst. Will send ds lots of positive vibes...
I've just finished a picture for a baby and my customer tells me that she's got the name wrong !! Am trying to resolve this in a calm manner- think I can sort it....(customers are my BCN and her daughter for a friends baby !)

topsyturner · 06/07/2012 01:23

Sigh .
Up late again .

Gig I think your head looks great !
I actually can't wait to go bald again . Can't be worse than my present wayward head of hair !

I have just been looking back through some photos of our holidays over the last 2/3 years .
We rent a house in the South of Ireland for a week every August , and it's just beautiful there .
Think it might just be one of my favourite places in the world .
Can't wait to get back down there .
Roll on August 11th !
Really feel the need for a holiday this year .

Btw the Wham link didn't work for me Gig . I too was absolutely gobsmacked to hear George Michael was gay !

MaryAnnSingleton · 06/07/2012 07:37

George Michael is gay ???

topsyturner · 06/07/2012 09:28

Think Mas might have gone off for a little weep at the loss of George to womankind !
Grin

Sometimesiwonder · 06/07/2012 09:42

Morning all!

Figgy, I know you will still worry but a cyst sounds like good news - treatable, though bloody sore and unpleasant, I am sure.

Gig - I'd also say wear whatever is comfortable for you, and don't sweat what anyone else thinks. Your picture looks lovely, whatever you choose.

Topsy - it's not long until 11 August. It'll do you the power of good.

It is absolutely pouring down here. Again. Sigh.

And I'm predicting a day of mixed news - it's report day, which I always love (dd is a swot so she usually gets a good one Wink ) and we'll find out who her new teacher is (all the options seem like good eggs so am really fairly relaxed) BUT - like MAS's poor old S - I predict that when her class is all mixed up again she will not be with anyone she is friends with. She has only been allowed to be in the same class as her bessie mate once, and this year she was separated from everyone she likes, and put in a class with the school bully, who has a particular downer on dd, as some of you may recall Sad. Ah well, if she is separated from that monster I shall view it as a blessing Hmm

Gigondas · 06/07/2012 09:51

Aw mas

careless whisper

white light

This one may not be to everyone's taste as its his new one about when was recently ill but I quite like it (as you can tell am big George fan).

OP posts:
Sometimesiwonder · 06/07/2012 10:49

Aw gig - you look lovely in both wigs and also the scarf. I think I slightly prefer wig 1 to wig 2, though you look so efficient and businesslike I might be a bit scared in a meeting (business, obv) Grin . Both are very, very good and don't look 'wiggy'.

Didn't post this on FB as I have decided not to use FB there any more (not because of the tamox ten part, but because I don't think it's right for my work). x

Gigondas · 06/07/2012 10:51

Wig 1 my fave too but big gig likes the long hair.

I know what you mean about fb- I have restricted access and keep it to family stuff. But am amazed and Shock at some posts I see ESP about peoples work.

Off out for blood test then lunch with friends...

OP posts:
MaryAnnSingleton · 06/07/2012 10:58

perhaps you could wear the long one around Big Gig ? They definitely look very realistic.
Lots of fingers crossed for dd sometimes - poor S was in tears at school and said 'If I think of Jemima then I think of not being in the same class and I get sad but I like thinking of her' - awww. I kept offering her cake or sweeties to make her feel happier (I can't resist buying treats !) but the dear thing said 'you don't need to buy me anything'

Sometimesiwonder · 06/07/2012 11:00

Enjoy!

Sometimesiwonder · 06/07/2012 11:03

Thanks MAS!

I'll be buying treats too I think Wink

graciesmall09 · 06/07/2012 11:29

sometimes hope DD doesn't get the bully again and poor DD mas it is awful for them. My eldest DS doesn't really have any close friends at school Sad and just potters about whereas his brother is life and soul of the party and has lots of friends.

figgy that is great that dr thinks there is nothing to worry about although it is natural for you to worry. Hope his appointment comes through quickly.

kurri hope you are feeling better today and the shingles are starting to ease.

11th Aug will come around in a flash topsy hope you have a fab and relaxing time.

DS has finally got around to walking the dog and the heavens have opened, typical, so I will have a soaked boy and soaked dog to contend with. DD has decided she wants to dust, so I have given her a duster and polish and she is having a great time - wonder if she likes hoovering Grin. Great it is now hailstones.

Waves to everyone else. May bake later so will pop some cupcakes on the fbs trolley.
