Hail now?

Bugger

KurriKurri · 06/07/2012 12:20

Afternoon all, - glad to hear good news about your DS Figgy (I know you will worry until he has the US, but it does sound very positive)

MAS - poor little S, hope the same doesn't happen to your DD Sometimes, - and fingers crossed firmly that she is away from the awful bully next year. Am sure she will have a stunning report Smile

gracie - I envy you a DD that likes dusting - send her over to my house when she's done Grin - my DD has inherited her mother's total aversion to housework of any description!

topsy - your holiday will be fab, roll on Aug 11th Smile

Gig - I'm with everyone else - wear whatever you feel comfy in, - I didn't have a wig but I wore scarves or beanies, and sometimes just went bald. I figured it's other people's problem not mine what they make of it.

waving to Ned and Smee - thank you for shingly hugs, much appreciated. And to 1in8 - lovely to see you Smile

Sjingles still sore today - they seem worse at night and keep me awake witht he nerves firing off - really makes me jump and sit up in bed shouting 'owww' Grin

DH has ordered a free graze box which arrived today - it looks very yummy.

Love to all xx

KurriKurri · 06/07/2012 12:26

Ooh meant to say - did any of my fellow Christopher Eccleston fans (MAS and Smee) watch that drama he was in the other night? (forgotten the title but it's about an alcoholic who blacks out and finds he's killed someone. Blackout that's what it's called [duh]) anyway - bit bizarre no? and I suspect probably total rubbish, I shall keep watching because of CE, and because My mum is watching it and she rings me up so I can explain what happened as she finds it hard to follow!

Sorry - this post should have had a 'mad old biddy ramble' warning button attached Grin

Sometimesiwonder · 06/07/2012 12:37

DH watched that on iPlayer last night. Not sure what he made of it: when I asked halfway through he said 'Not many laughs' Grin

KurriKurri · 06/07/2012 12:51

Definitely not many laughs Sometimes Grin - it was all pretty dark and grim. (the family lived in the darkest, most depressing house I have ever seen) There were also a lot of very repetitive flashbacks which got pretty tedious.

CE has been in some dross in his time, - I remember watching something he was in about a couple trying to get their DD into a Catholic school - he ended up being knifed by a mad nun or something IIRC. Most odd.

Sometimesiwonder · 06/07/2012 12:58

Yes, I'm not sure he'd spring to mind as a must-have party guest Hmm

WhatALoadOfBollocks · 06/07/2012 13:59

hi ladies,
hope your all o.k today? well i layed down yesterday to watch fried green tomatos, got half way through and fell asleep. when i woke up my "D"H had deleted it becausie it said viewed he said aarrghh! i could strangle hi sometimes.

Been to the "big school" today with DS for dinner as he is starting in september, the dinner lady came round the tables ith drinks either water or choc milkshake and he announces V V loudly that "mammy will have water because shes got a poorly booby and the doctor had to chop a bit off"

the dinner lady nearly dropped her jugs (well at least she hasnt had one chopped to bits eh :) ) and i just sort of smiled and shrugged as if to say "kids eh" was really quite funny actually the little git Grin
kirri where was this graze box from?? ive been looking at them and if i can get a free one,why not lol

xx

Sometimesiwonder · 06/07/2012 14:04

What a little sod, Bollocks Grin

When I told my dd I had a lump in my boob (she was 6 then) - she said "Ha ha that's really funny" Hmm Ratbag.

MaryAnnSingleton · 06/07/2012 14:05

arf @ ds bollocks !
I did watch the Christopher Eccleston thing - not really sure what was going on but never mind - why was their house so dismal ? Dh is not a fan of Whirling Dervish aka Dervla Kirwan but he watched it with me.

KurriKurri · 06/07/2012 14:30

bollocks - I will PM you a voucher code - we got some with this delivery, then you can get a free one Smile

Love the kids being highly amused by booby problems. When mine were little you only had to mention underpants and they'd be rolling around on the floor in hysterics Hmm

Deleting something I'm in the middle of watching is something my DH would do. Every so often he clears what is stored on the DVD recorder, and deletes anything that looks 'boring' (i.e. anything that's not to do with ice road truckers/customs officers/police chases/and nerd programmes)

Sometimesiwonder · 06/07/2012 14:36

Ah, well, if we are talking about odd programme obsessions, did anyone see Country House Rescue last night? I love that show but last night's pair of homeowners were the thickest, most deluded, upper class twits I have EVER seen Grin

KurriKurri · 06/07/2012 14:38

Oh no I missed that (actually I get too jealous of the house owners to watch these things Envy) I watched The Hotel Inspector - it was a nude Hotel, with a slightly creepy owner Hmm

Sometimesiwonder · 06/07/2012 14:40

I rest my case, M'Lud.

Sometimesiwonder · 06/07/2012 14:41

Nude hotel? Oh. Hang on, that might well be worse.....

KurriKurri · 06/07/2012 15:09

OH dear Shock - I think your upper class twit might win Sometimes, - nude man didn't tell offensive jokes, he just sort of dangled about with a strange expression on his face. (And the food he served in the hotel was all in those silver vacuum packed bags - the sort astronauts eat, - and he didn't see anything wrong with serving that to guests. One woman said 'what's in this tagine?' and he answered 'I don't know, do you want to look at the packet?' Grin)

Sometimesiwonder · 06/07/2012 15:10

Blimey Grin

Sometimesiwonder · 06/07/2012 15:12

For some reason that i cannot now recall (it's probably for the best) the family are known widely as the' Fucking Fulfords'. I think it is something to do with actual sexual shenanigans rather than just general offensiveness Grin

WhatALoadOfBollocks · 06/07/2012 16:11

i think i remember watching some sort of doc about the fucking fulfords a few years ago. thw wife threw the tele in the lake because the kids wouldnt listen to her

Sometimesiwonder · 06/07/2012 16:14

Sounds like her. She was a raving loon!

KurriKurri · 06/07/2012 16:42

Bollocks - I have PM'd you.

Just been on the phone to nice sister, - she had a long phone conversation with mad sister yesterday, and apparently it became clear that mad sister is intent on getting her hands on my mother's house, probably by moving in so she can't be thrown out.

We've suspected this for some time, she's been trying to stop my mother selling the house (because she couldn't possibly afford to buy it) but she'd do anything to get it by other means. Thus depriving nice sister and me of our inheritance (my dad left his half of the house to be split between his 3 DD's if it was sold, my MUm owns the other half which she plans to use to buy herself a sheltered home - she wants to move)

Anyway if you have followed all that well done! - Mad sister is also now bad sister in my book - but you can't discuss things with her, - she doesn't behave or react normally to anything. Sad Apparently she said a load of mad stuff about me on the phone to nice sister - e.g. that I'm always pretending to be ill to get Mum's attention Confused Shock - that's the level of totally barking we are talking about Sad

Sorry - I had to get that off my chest, she drives me bonkers and makes me very stressed.

topsyturner · 06/07/2012 16:44

Oh yes , I remember the delightful Fulfords ! Mad as a box of frogs !

Bet you'll never guess what I'm doing tonight ?
I am so rock and roll its untrue .
Am going shopping for a new kitchen tap !
Woohooo !
Grin

topsyturner · 06/07/2012 16:46

KK that's awful !
That's not what everyone needs to deal with right now . And I bet she knows it , that's why she's trying it on . She thinks you will all be too distracted to stop her Sad

graciesmall09 · 06/07/2012 17:11

kurri she sounds awful but there is always one. It is amazing what money does to folk.

topsy you know how to live Grin. Maybe you could talk DH into taking you for dinner as well.

KurriKurri · 06/07/2012 17:16

topsy - new tap is pretty rock and roll where I come from Grin are you going modern or retro?

topsyturner · 06/07/2012 17:20

Dinner Gracie ???
You really don't know my husband do you ? Grin

KK it will be a modern one as our kitchen is very modern . Did have a Franke tap but DH snapped the handle off !
Not planning to go as expensive this time if DH is just going to break it again ...
