Dress NOT mumsie at all Gracie !
And your accessories sound perfect .
Where is the reception ?

graciesmall09 · 03/07/2012 21:16

Dunadry topsy.

topsyturner · 03/07/2012 21:16

Inspired by kks bling ring , I treated myself this evening to a little shiny !
You will be relieved to know I learnt from her mistake and bought one in a fat finger larger size Grin

graciesmall09 · 03/07/2012 21:18

ahem what about a link topsy

topsyturner · 03/07/2012 21:20

Ooh nice Gracie . And you are staying over ?
I think that calls for a few bottles glasses of champagne .
And you may need a few practice sessions before the wedding so you don't make a holy show of yourself !

Amber how goes it with your deranged person ? Am hoping you are having no more trouble .
Shall we all gather up and intimidate him away ?

topsyturner · 03/07/2012 21:22

Eeeerm ... Not sure how to do links on my phone .
Will have to wait till the DC let me use the laptop !
I will take a pic and put it on our Facebook group if I can figure out how to do that

topsyturner · 03/07/2012 21:26

Done !

MaryAnnSingleton · 03/07/2012 21:28

bit late, but lovely dress gracie !

Gigondas · 04/07/2012 06:46

I love the shiny topsy... Which reminds me I really ought to put my eng ring back on (paranoia means I always take it off when staying in hospital).

Wish me luck as its big gigs birthday party this afternoon...

good luck with big gig's party gig !!
dh back to work, and ds having tetatnus, polio etc booster at school...

graciesmall09 · 04/07/2012 09:39

Good luck gigs with party. Rather you than me Grin.

Same to mas DS. Hope it isn't too painful.

I have a huge stye in my eye which is itching like mad. Any ideas what I could do to stop the itching before I completely rip my eye out. I can't get to a chemist as I have no car today.

Gigondas · 04/07/2012 09:46

Cold tea eye bath may help- brew some tea , leave bag in and let it cool. The tannin is soothing .

Its tipping it down here so not looking good for option to let them run around in the garden either.

Lovely dress gracie and fabulous ring topsy - you are clearly both so glamorous!

Hope big gigs party goes OK gig - how many have you got coming?

MAS hope DH feeling better, if back at work?

amber clearly we need a tamoxifen protection squad to look after you from mr. Psycho. We could be a hit squad too, if it came to it. . .

I started on tamoxifen yesterday. Bit nervous about side effects. . . Sad

graciesmall09 · 04/07/2012 10:06

Will brew some tea now gigs and give it a try. Sooooooooooooo itchy.

Ned hopefully you won't have too many side effects. I am to have Tamoxifen as well although don't know when this will be as I am to have Herceptin as well. I don't even know how long I am to have Herceptin for. Think I need to start asking some questions.

Hope everyone has a lovely day. Nothing much planned here.

MaryAnnSingleton · 04/07/2012 10:52

hope the eye feels better soon gracie
ned you might well be ok with tamoxifen- my approach is to not expect any side effects- I hate admitting to having things wrong with me ! I think the benefits outweigh the discomforts - am sure I do have some side effects but I try not to acknowledge them !
Dh still sniffly but frankly his idea of feeling poorly isn't the same as mine (oh dear,I sound hugely unsympathetic) Ds wanted lots of reassurance about his injection- he hates blood tests which are always a bit of a trial and I told him these are nothing like them- a very quick prick and that's it...poor love. Am very pleased that he was being brave about it as I know he'll be worrying. He disappeared to his room with the information leaflet yesterday.

SparkleRainbow · 04/07/2012 11:03

Gracie - I always do the cold tea bag for styes, but never knew why it worked until now Grin

I love the dress, am even more Envy now. You are going to look beautiful, and you can always kick the shoes off under the table to rest your feet. Wink

So raining again here in Staffordshire, nearly skidded and landed on my bottom in chicken run this morning, just caught myself in time.

smee · 04/07/2012 11:58

Hello...!!! Waving to all. Have been missing you all, but couldn't get to pooter. Will have a read through and try and catch up. Another rainy day here.

Sometimesiwonder · 04/07/2012 12:13

Hi smee me too! No clue what's going on.....

Except that Gracie has a beautiful dress and there is some bling about as well Envy

So tell me, ladies. I have just (moments ago) signed up for cavity wall insulation. It's totes free (obviously, as I'm way too tight to pay) but is the mess going to be sheer hell on earth? Sad

SparkleRainbow · 04/07/2012 13:29

No, no mess at all, they do it through the outside walls, injecting it in, tiny bit of mortar to cover up the injection sites.....dead simple, no mess and no fuss, done in a day.

Smee I have given up trying to keep up, just going for the popping and take me as you find me approach. Grin No brain left to retain info anyway.

KurriKurri · 04/07/2012 13:40

Good luck with big Gig's party Gig, - hope she has fun. Smile

hello to everyone, - just popping in quickly as I need to get on with housework. My head still hurts, but a friend rang this morning and says I need to be more patient as it will take longer than 2 weeks to get better.

We are going to see the Olympic flame going through Norwich later this afternoon - don't suppose we'll see much though (It's going to be mostly in a big park in the city, but you can't go into the park to see it except by special invitation, - they've just stopped short of putting a sign saying 'no riff raff' on the gates Grin)

smee · 04/07/2012 13:41

Haven't a clue, Sometimes. Did they tell you when you booked it in? I'd leave DH in with the hoover strategically placed so he can't miss it and go out for the day. Wink

Ned, how's Rads and Tamoxifen then. Have just seen you started and feel lousy I didn't say good luck. Blush

Topsy, I preferred Tax too. Horribly sick on FEC and Tax was hard work, but less side effects for me. I didn't do the nail polish thing, but I did lose a few nails. Wasn't as bad as it sounds though.

have spotted Amber has been having a scary ol' time. Amber, shall we send the girls round?? Hope life's calmer now.

Glad to see you're vaguely okay, Snoopy. Hope the Picc line's infection free still. Smile

All this glamour and bling on here makes me wonder if I'm on the right thread. I have old t-shirt and ripped jeans on.

I see midi-Gig's turned into a diva. Hope she doesn't do a turn at her party today...

Got to run again. Waving to MAS, Kurri, Figgy, Lime, Sparkle, Jane and everyone I've missed. Will try and keep up from now on. x Smile

MaryAnnSingleton · 04/07/2012 13:51

waves to smee ! Any news back from ds1 Figgy ?

smee · 04/07/2012 14:50

Yes, Figgy I hope he gets some reassuring news. Must be worrying. Sad

MaryAnnSingleton · 04/07/2012 15:21

the boy survived his vaccination - phew !

graciesmall09 · 04/07/2012 15:32

figgy thinking of you and DS today.

smee dressing up will be for one day only. I am usually a bit of a slob. I am not a dress person so will probably be relieved to get it all off at the end of the day.

Have another teabag cooling as it helped for a while but my eye is just crawling.

We have 10 people for lunch on Sunday Shock so panicing a little. It is a family who had us for lunch before Christmas and with dad being ill and then his death and my bc we have never got around to returning the favour but they invited us to them again so DH said he wasn't going unless I invited them first. Manners and returning dinner invitations, etc are very important to DH so I have told him I will buy everything and he can cook it Grin. Hope the conversation flows ok as we are only getting to know them.
