Definitely no point unless it's the whole bar, Kurri, though you could hurl half at Gig. Smile

KurriKurri · 29/06/2012 15:22

oh all right you can have half Gig Grin

MaryAnnSingleton · 29/06/2012 15:23

I did actually buy 2 bars of only £1 choc at Smiths the other day...

smee · 29/06/2012 15:45

MAS didn't share her chocolate!

Off for drinks (I know it's early!) with lots of folk I used to work with. Wishing you all a wondrous Friday night. Smile

topsyturner · 29/06/2012 16:04

I have large size minty aero bars if anyone wants the crumbs that are left some ?

KurriKurri · 29/06/2012 16:34

Minty aero mmm

DD has just been asked to accompany the Youth Choir at this music festival - which sounds fun, - she's rather chuffed because she was recommended by someone else she worked for a while ago.

KurriKurri · 29/06/2012 16:36

Actually - we were planning to go to the festival anyway - so now we only have to pay for one ticket Grin - I want to do some banghra dance.

Gigondas · 29/06/2012 16:58

Ohh festival looks good.

I escaped for a walk and bought some more Olympic mascot chocolate - I am now going to get out way before smee beats me in rush to get it.

yay - good for dd kk - I bet that's how she';ll get lots of work,by word of mouth (this is how T's piano teacher gets many pupils)
T's teeth are fine and dandy - hooray- he's a lucky boy.
I couldn't share the choc as he had scoffed most of it !

NedSchneebly · 29/06/2012 17:24

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments about DS. lime you know how to make a lady Blush Thought maybe there was something in my eye when I read your post. . . how's DS now he's home? Super chap for sticking with it!

Good news for DD kurri Bet she'll play brilliantly and you and mr kurri will be super proud Smile How are the shingles? Improving, I hope x

gig low neutrophils make you vulnerable to infection. Check your temperature regularly, and watch out for any other symptoms that could suggest you have an infection - sore throat, burning when you pee, rash, earache efc etc etc. don't delay if you feel rotten, get thee hence to a hospital.

MAS glad T given all clear at dentist. Grin clean teeth emoticon!

gracie hope you're taking it easy. Good news from your mums appointment - they're clearly pleased with her to give 2 year sign off.

smee it's Friday . . . Drinking time surely starts at about 4pm. . . Hope you have a lovely time x

sometimes haven't seen a back update recently, unless I've missed it. How are you doing? Hope everything healing satisfactorily and you have maintained your growth in height?

Waves to sparkle how's you and DS? Good to see you. Thanks for protecting FB page from invaders x x

KurriKurri · 29/06/2012 18:08

Oh bless him Lime - the shop is definitely the best bit - I'm glad he stayed for that Smile - he definitely won't have been the only one who was homesick, not by a long way.

Put your booty away topsy

Lucky T all clear at the dentist, well done him Smile

Ned - your little chap is absolutely adorable - I love the pictures of him on your profile, he looks such a happy-go-lucky little boy Smile

I hope DD gets more work out of this - the person who rang her said that some of the children in the choir might well want piano lessons, which would be good.

I have spent the afternoon giving the kitchen a good clean and tidy - I never seem to be able to fit everything in the cupboards, - can't decide if it's because I don't have enough cupboards or because I have too much junk (probably the latter Grin)

jchocchip · 29/06/2012 19:01

On bus home from work crying my eyes out. So so sad. Friend in work today tidying up and passing over files. Starts chemo Monday, but it is only to buy time :( Feel so useless. Whole office in shock.

LimeJellyforBrains · 29/06/2012 19:09

Oh Jane that is so sad. I'm so sorry. Bastard bastard disease. And how awful to face chemo without the goal of cure. I hope it buys her lots and lots of time. Love and hugs to you and her x

KurriKurri · 29/06/2012 19:31

I'm so sorry Jane - but buying time can mean a good amount of time with good quality of life, - hang onto that thought xx

jchocchip · 29/06/2012 19:44

Thanks for the hugs. They told her a time yesterday, really hope that she responds well to the chemo. Bastard disease.

jchocchip · 29/06/2012 19:46

Dd cooking tea and found the oven chips, were not. Have bunged a little sunflower oil on then and doing them in the oven any way. Wine Off to see if there is any alcohol in the fridge!

NedSchneebly · 29/06/2012 20:03

More hugs from me, jchoc. A bastard disease indeed. Sad Hope very much your friend responds well to chemo and can achieve a good quality of life x x

Gigondas · 29/06/2012 20:28

found half a bottle of wine trying to learn how to use my new worKs laptop / tablet -writing this with stylus on screen!

graciesmall09 · 29/06/2012 21:13

jchoc huge hugs to you. So very sad, such an awful, awful disease. It just isn't fair.

topsy hide your booty now please Grin. My goodness that coffee dock downstairs from bridgewater has some fabulous cakes and buns. We may need to partake of a few one when we are there.

gigs be sure and rest especially as your neutrophils low. Good excuse to relax and eat chocolate.

lime glad DS home safely and glad he got to go to the shop. My eldest DS went to his first scout camp last year (age 14) and I got a phone call on the second day from a very tearful son wanting to come home. It broke my heart but he did stay the second night. I think lack of sleep has a lot to do with it.

Ice Age 4 was really good. DD and I stuffed ourselves with popcorn and I have mini munchies for the fbs. One of my neighbours came round today and took the dog for a walk which was very kind of him, considering he doesn't have one of his own. DH and the boys had a fab time at the golf but are home now, exhausted and wind/sun burnt. Great to have them home. I missed them. Leg still sore, my thigh is now sore as well although not hot so assuming nothing to worry about. I think I need a long stint on the paranoia box.

MaryAnnSingleton · 30/06/2012 08:12

oh jane that is Sad and I hope the chemo gives her lots more time- awful for you.
Well done to junior lime - the shop bits are always my favourite parts too ! Next time will be easier for him I'm sure.

Am off to that London today with my boy - meeting 2 friends, one coming down from Birmingham -driving to my old road where friend 1 lives and then bussing it into Chiswick.
Mum is well enough to go away next weekend with dad to stay at my brother's nr Bath -dad and SIL are playing oboe and flute respectively in an al-comers orchestra-where they rehearse for a day and play a concert in the evening !

MaryAnnSingleton · 30/06/2012 08:12

glad cinema trip was fun ~gracie!

NedSchneebly · 30/06/2012 15:21

Afternoon all - hope all having a peaceful one?

Have just had peaceful bath hijacked by DS. . . Quite fun though, with boats and squirters! What age does having son in bath with mummy become dodgy?!

DS did comment that he thought my hair was growing back. . . I think there's a bit of fuzz, but could be wishful thinking. Too soon to have hair again?

DH's cousin rang today and said that she wants to treat me ( and her too!) to an overnight girly spa with fancy massage and nice meal once my rads are over. Grin Very flattered, and was delighted to accept!

Going out for supper tonight the menu looks rather tasty!

Sorry, self centred post Blush Putting kettle on if anyone wants a Brew ?

graciesmall09 · 30/06/2012 15:55

Can I come too ned menu sounds gorgeous. I'll have the scallops, followed by lamb and then the posh toffee ice cream Grin. What a lovely thought from DH's cousin, you will have a fab time.

mas have a lovely day in London with DS. Good to hear your mum is feeling well enough to go out.

kurri how is your mum? Hope her pain is easing.

Feeling much better today so have cleaned all my windows and kitchen. So my tiles and windows are gleaming. Having a lie down now with shock Grin
