A dodgy drugs lab tried to muscle in??? Really??? Angry What happened? I thought the FB group was just for posters on this thread? I may be wrong though, as I never go there, so my views not really relevant....

SparkleRainbow · 29/06/2012 12:38

Sometimes - Your views are always relevant! Stop being so down on yourself. The lab tried to get me to allow them access, but they didn't get through our defences.

Sometimesiwonder · 29/06/2012 12:49

ooh well done, you. I am glad the privacy settings worked, and that you were on the ball.

These people have no shame, do they?

I really should do some work soon but I feel SOOOO Fridayish

SparkleRainbow · 29/06/2012 12:52

Makes me really Angry especially on the rare occasions we get "trolls" on here!

I need to do some serious house cleaning, but the friday feeling has me too. Might just put the Brew on instead.

Sometimesiwonder · 29/06/2012 13:03

I'll have one.

I did a bit of vacuuming first thing. Had to - I spotted two - two!!!!! - of those horrible spiders with tiny bodies and mahoosive legs in dd's room: they had to go before she got home from school or she'd have had a funny turn, and I'm afraid they left via the large windy pipe into the Dyson. I know I'll never get to heaven if I don't stop doing that to creepy crawlies, but I'm too scared to do it the humane way. Shudder. And there were numerous other cobwebs about that were testament to my lax approach to housework.

Raining again here, by the way Sad

LimeJellyforBrains · 29/06/2012 13:21

Ooh Sparkle lovely to see you, relieved you and your veggies have survived unscathed, was worried about you x That storm sounds amazing, I am actually quite jealous! Although I do also get a bit scared, was just thinking recently we haven't had any thunderstorms like those I remember as a child. Hugest one I remember night before an A Level Art exam - so, 1981? Quiche sounds divine, love good quiche, so Yes Please!

Ned you are an amazing woman (and mum). Something we all take for granted you have to put so much thought into. And you have been an inspiration throughout your treatment too x

Sometimes such a shame about your local festival. I heard on the radio the other day that several festivals/fairs which have been going for hundreds of years are being cancelled for the first time this year. I am averting my tender eyes from your arachnicide... I am of the jam jar and postcard persuasion Grin

MAS hope T is feeling much better for your lunch tomorrow x Did you get that urgent job finished OK?

Smee Your PTA and its events always sound such a laugh, and 'unique' in a wonderful way....like you, not surprisingly! Grin

Only an hour to go before I go to pick up ds! Had a text from the teacher to say he'd had a good night's sleep and feeling much better Smile. If only I would learn to look at my phone more often I would have known this at 8.30am and saved myself 3 hours of fretting Hmm

Sometimesiwonder · 29/06/2012 13:23

Wahey for Lime Junior!!! What a star!!

graciesmall09 · 29/06/2012 13:29

Popping on quickly as heading out to the cinema with DD. Promised her a girlie day with the boys away at the golf.

lime hope DS slept well last night and enjoyed his trip in the end. I'm sure you will be glad to see him.

hate them but feel bad for squashing anything. DH is usually called and if he is out I usually put a tupperware over it until he comes home Blush

topsy still no money??? That is awful, I hope there will be compensation for those affected. Have managed to wangle a car for 9th so can offer a lift home if you need it.

amber what an awful experience. Some people are just downright nasty and don't like to see anyone doing well. Have a good day at Henley though and try to enjoy it.

gigs oh that brings back memories. DD was such a cuddly baby and used to be in my arms most of the day Blush. I do think that is why my neck and back problems developed because between feeding which she used to do for hours and cuddling I usually had a baby in my arms. They grow up so quickly so enjoy it.

My house needs some serious cleaning. I used to be a total clean freak but I must admit things are starting to slide. Still feeling decidedly iffy but may be due to an early start as my mum had a hospital appointment and I had to drive her. My mum had an artificial heart valve fitted 10 years ago. Appointment went well - they don't want to see her for 2 years.

Right off to the cinema to see Ice Age Grin. I will share my popcorn later.

graciesmall09 · 29/06/2012 13:30

xposted with lime Grin for mini Lime.

Sometimesiwonder · 29/06/2012 13:45

And yay! for your Mum, Gracie! She must be doing well Smile

Enjoy the cinema!

smee · 29/06/2012 13:49

Ooh well done little-Lime. I can feel a treat tea coming on. Smile

Great news about your mum too, Gracie. Save me some popcorn. Smile

Sometimes, vacuuming long legged beasties is humane. Think of it as rehousing. Grin

KurriKurri · 29/06/2012 14:00

Afternoon all, - awww to baby cuddles, - lovely, and that special baby smell of their hair. I can remember my sister and i sorting through some baby clothes she was passing on to me - took us ages because we kept sniffing all the little socks and t-shirts Grin

Sometimes - what a shame about your friends little boy, hope they get things sorted for him soon, - such a worry for his parents, - I'm sure they appreciate just knowing you are there for them.

We've had a few creeping things in recently - DD came running through to my room the other day shrieking 'there's something crawling about on the carpet, I put my cup over it and ran away' Grin - turned out to be a pretty vicious looking centipede thing.

amber - poor you Sad - that is an awful strain for you, what a horrible person he sounds - I'm glad you've got a good legal team, but waiting for a court case must be very stressful, take care of yourself. xx

Lime - DS did very well to stick it out, must be very hard for him coping with change, maybe once he knew you were there on the end of the phone and would come for him if he needed you, he was able to settle. I hope he feels happy that he had the experience and it helps for next time. I bet he won't have been the only child there finding it all a bit overwhelming either.

topsy - next time you go out stealing, I'd like a new toaster - can you hide one under your coat for me? Grin

jchoc - you are right about that word.

Waving hello to everyone else - hope you are not to soaked/hailed on wherever you are, - we've avoided rain so far, but it is very humid - so we could do with a storm. (Old lady dog always barks at thunder, - she's such a typical terrier! Grin)

Sometimesiwonder · 29/06/2012 14:01

Grin Rehousing with lots of dust soft bedding

Not looking forward to emptying the thing out though Hmm

Sometimesiwonder · 29/06/2012 14:03

ooh, ooh we have sunshine

smee · 29/06/2012 14:15

tsk Sometimes. Surely that's what you have a DH for? It seriously threatens their masculinity if you don't make them do all the jobs you hate do everything for them. Grin

Sometimesiwonder · 29/06/2012 14:20
MaryAnnSingleton · 29/06/2012 14:21

hooray for junior lime !!!
Am very glad that your mum's appointment went well and hope you enjoy your cinema trip.
Ds is at school smee - the cough is bothersome but he's feeling well enough to go
Nearly finished the urgent picture- will try to have it ready for Monday.
ned agree with others- you are a star mum !

sparkle well done for fielding the fb group interlopers Grin

Gigondas · 29/06/2012 14:32

Well done for lime ds

gracie enjoy The cinema.

topsy can't you rob some chocolate?

Waves to maskurrijchoc sometimesand smee

Blood results in and neutrophils low- what does that mean in rl? Just be careful as at risk of infection?

OP posts:
smee · 29/06/2012 14:35

Yes Gig, means your drugs are working though too, as it shows they've had an effect, so take it as a positive and watch your temperature. If they were too low, they'd take you in, so they're probably just at expectedly low levels.

KurriKurri · 29/06/2012 14:41

sorry gracie - I missed your post, - glad your mum's appointment went well. Enjoy the flicks - what film are you going to see?

Sometimesiwonder · 29/06/2012 14:50

What Smee said, Gig. Best advice is not to go somewhere hot, indoors and full of snuffly people for a few days.

MaryAnnSingleton · 29/06/2012 14:50

shoves some chocolate chip cookies `gig's way to keep her strength up.

Gigondas · 29/06/2012 14:53

Does that mean it is ok to lie in bed and watch films?

OP posts:
topsyturner · 29/06/2012 14:58

Excellent Gracie , I should be at the hospital about 8am so I can point and laugh hold your hand for your picc apt !

KurriKurri · 29/06/2012 15:13

Gig - low neutrophils means it's compulsory to lie in bed and watch films, - only move as much as you need to to pop snacks in your mouth Grin

topsy if you're wearing the extra baggies, I'll have a kettle as well Grin

I've got a really strong urge to buy a huge bar of fruit and nut (one of those giant ones they're always try to flog you in Smith's) and sit on my bed and gnaw at it, - no feeble breaking off little squares for me, oh no.
