smee if you scroll down in this article DSs natural teeth look like this. It's a waiting game really, as consultant not keen to X-ray to see what's there. Once tooth number 4 has grown down completely, consultant will cap teeth 3 and 4. No idea if or when any more might appear. . .

smee · 28/06/2012 21:53

Wow Ned. That's quite something isn't it and what a shame he's got that to contend with. Is he okay with dentists or is it too soon to say?

NedSchneebly · 28/06/2012 22:01

Fine so far, which is great. He's always had positive interactions with dentists - old and new consultants brilliant with him. And he did get some new playmobil for being a good boy yesterday Smile Will not push for dentures until I'm sure they'll be successful and he understands the whole process, otherwise it could destroy his positive view of dentists altogether. We will just have to wait and see!

KurriKurri · 28/06/2012 22:04

Lots of sleepy vibes for little Lime, - I bet he was really over tired and that's why he got a bit stressed - they tend to keep them very busy on these trips and wear them out IME.

jchocchip · 28/06/2012 22:13

I suppose dental xrays are awkward for children, but I bet you want to know how many more teeth are there.

I did go out for my slow shuffle run with dh. I'm still 18 1/2 stone, but used to be 21 1/2 Blush Told I carried it quite well 5'10" but was massive and so glad to have got down to a size 20 jeans. I log my food as I go along on an app on my phone or at the end of the day on the pc. Certainly makes you think, but I like the way it isn't really a diet because you can eat anything and it helps you work out your relationship with food. And water. And exercise... And you have to eat at least some of the calories back when you exercise :)

MaryAnnSingleton · 28/06/2012 22:27

sending sleepy vibes to little lime - hope he enjoys tomorrow.
Brilliant and impressive weight loss jane.
Ds still coughing - he asked me to get him some honey today to soothe it !
Sorry to not write much - am really tired.

jchocchip · 29/06/2012 07:02

Morning all, dh's alarm didn't go off and he woke up when his bread finished at 6.10. As he had to leave the house at 6.15, he was not best pleased. Oh well, at least we slept well for a change. Cat shut out of room! Will wake up dd2 and pootle off to work myself.
Had quite a chat with friend yesterday morning, she may be in again today. Hate the word 'incurable' bastard disease.

Will put the Brew on, help yourselves. Dh's bread smells heavenly, sure he won't notice if you cut a slice ;) P**ing it down here, not sure what to wear as it may turn hot later. Hope you all have a good day and the weather is kinder than it has been...

amberlight · 29/06/2012 07:20

Ooo, Brew ! Thanks Smile

Reading, but a bit quiet here. Having such a naff time with a really vindictive individual who is trying to wreck our business...and it really got to me last night. Solid year and a bit of medical stuff to stay alive, struggling to keep the business going all the way through it...and just the other side of it you get people like this who sense that there's an opportunity for them to get money if they use enough intimidation and create enough worry and exhaustion. Sad So big court case ahead now to try to stop them, etc. At least our lawyers are lovely and our work team is really supportive etc. Just so don't need it. Off to Henley today where I shall be trying to look cheerful and upbeat all day with clients.

MaryAnnSingleton · 29/06/2012 07:45

Sad and Angry for you amber
Try and have a lovely day at Henley - you'll look lovely in your pretty frock.

Ds stil coughing- poor boy must be exhausted.Dentist later-when I told him he said 'oh joy'

Gigondas · 29/06/2012 08:41

Yes enjoy your day at Henley - SadAngry re court case. But I am glad you have good legal team.

J I will have some of that bread if it's going spareGrin . And agree incurable a horrid word Sad

mas poor ds- big gig also full of cough but seems ok with it.

lime any news on boy?

gracie how you doing?

Am typing this with mini gig sleep on my chest (not sure that does much for my dodgy shoulder Wink)- so much for my don't do the let them sleep on you as its a bad habit. But haven't had so many chances to do this as been messing around with hospital. So might need fbs passed to me (and suspect if she could see them mini gig would want to try as she is most keen on food ).

jchocchip · 29/06/2012 08:46

proffers butter and jam...

topsyturner · 29/06/2012 09:18

Morning All

Hugs to you Amber , hoping the person harassing you just goes away once they realise you are not going to give in !

Lime any news this morning ?

Mas how is T today ?

Gracie feeling any more human like today ?

Jane I'll take 2 extra thick slices please , with real butter and lots of jam Grin

Gigs sod it , enjoy the cuddles . You can't spoil a baby !

Still no bank access ...

Sometimesiwonder · 29/06/2012 09:29

Lime - well done to your boy for sticking it out for another night. He should be very, very proud of himself for hanging in there when the going got tough. I hope he slept better and comes home to a hero's welcome, as I know he will.

Amber - Sad and Angry abut the court case and nasty people trying to seize the advantage. I really hope it's true that 'what goes around, comes around'. Have a Brew

Well done to Jchocchip on weight loss. Envy

Dd was v exciteable last night. The kids all saw the awful storm, many were out in the start of it as it hit at lunchtime here, and very quickly. One minute it was just black and quiet, the next there were big chunks of ice crashing to the ground. Many children were terrified and there were a lot of tears, I hear.

LimeJellyforBrains · 29/06/2012 10:35

Amber - more Sad and Angry here for you. Glad you have a good team and hope the nasty person sees sense and backs down before it gets to court x Hope you can put it out of your mind for today and enjoy Henley - lovely outfit you have! x

Gig - I am soooo Envy of baby sleeping on chest. I remember reading it's just not possible to spoil a baby under the age of one, so just enjoy while you can. I will pop fbs into your mouth for you and willingly take over 'comfy mattress' duties if you need a break Wink

Sometimes - that storm does sound awe-inspiring. Glad (and not surprised) your dd could see the exciting side of it and not be scared!

Topsy - grr for continuing bank problems. Hope security issues are sorted x

Ned - your little ds is a star! Hooray for Tooth 4 and here's to more! I imagine food and particularly eating out are tricky for him/you? x

No news on ds so am assuming 'no news is good news'. Fingers are itching to text the teacher who rang last night. I may do later just so I am prepared for how his mood is likely to be. Picking up from school about 2.30pm. I feel pretty lousy for not better planning/thinking through this trip. Could have done with Amber doing an Autism Risk Assessment! The whole experience, with the changes from routine, the exercises and the lack of sleep will have been pretty hard for him. They do a whole week away in Year 6, I hope we can learn from this one and improve on this experience for him...

Sometimesiwonder · 29/06/2012 10:46

Hi Lime - ours do a whole week thing too - and i am also a bit concerned about that - dd doesn't have the problems that your ds has to contend with, but i still think it is a long time away for some kids. We'll be doing a bit of thinking and planning too Hmm

I hope he has had a reasonable time. Even if he had a bad few moments, in his memory it will probably become better and he will be pleased with himself. I hope so, anyway.

my friend's little boy has been back in hospital for the last week: more problems with his shunt resulting in severe headaches for which there seems no help Sad. I really want to do something but of course there is nothing to be done beyond practical help with chores and stuff, and they seem to have that all covered, so I am feeling v useless. Which is fine, of course, it's not about me making myself feel better: but I do feel like a spare part.

topsyturner · 29/06/2012 10:57

DD is going away this evening for 2 nights with her friend to their caravan by the sea .
And I am feeling anxious for her .
She has only ever done a one night sleep over at a house that I can see from my living room window !
An sure she will have a ball , but I will still miss her !

smee · 29/06/2012 11:02

Angry Sad Amber, no wonder you've been a bit quiet. Good you've got a great team of legal people though. How long until the court case. These things can drag on so..

Lime, I think a text is allowed - does sound like no news is good news though. Smile

Jane, you've done brilliantly to lose that much weight. Is your DH trying to diet too? Should think that helps if you're both doing it. You're right about that word. Sad

Gig, aw.. My DS was constantly on me at that age. Not always by choice, more because he had colic and it soothed his poor tummy. How's Nanny1 today? Hope in a better mood.

sometimes, horrible to hear of a child in pain. I'd bet your friend is pleased just to know you care. Not surprised the children were scared - it looked terrifying on the news.

Topsy, how did you pay for the croissants?

Had a meet about the Summer Fair today, so back from that. We're horribly disorganised, but nicely anarchic. Gawd alone knows what the Fair'll be like. Grin

Sometimesiwonder · 29/06/2012 11:20

When is your Fair, then? Ours is 2 weeks away, weather permitting.

We have a big local festival in the city here every year - it's great and it was going to be this weekend. Until today. Now it's off and i am gutted. I nearly injured myself laughing in the comedy tent one year. Grin

topsyturner · 29/06/2012 11:20

I stole them Smee ...
Grin

Sometimesiwonder · 29/06/2012 11:23

Give one here, then, Topsy

MaryAnnSingleton · 29/06/2012 11:25

aw sometimes - poor boy-but am sure your friend knows how much you are thinking of them.
lime hope all is well with junior lime when he gets back, and thast junior topsy has a jolly time in the caravan.
Storms would terrify me- I am very scared of them -i can remember being home alone at 17 during an appallingly bad storm and cowering in my room with an even more nervous dog trying to squeeze herself into the tiniest space.
Ds still not quite well- hope he perks up by tomorrow as we're off to meet friends for lunch in Chiswick.

smee · 29/06/2012 11:33

Topsy, if you're out on the rob you can do better than croissants. Grin

Sometimes ours is 14th July. Is that yours too? We will have to do a sun dance. Smile

Is DS at home then, MAS? Must be extraordinary if he is, as he's never ill.

NedSchneebly · 29/06/2012 12:01

Hello ladies Smile

Croissant please, if there are any left?!

Good for junior lime bet he'll remember that he stuck it out for the whole time, rather than remembering what made it hard for him! Hope he's still in one piece when he gets home.

Thanks for asking about DS - eating is a bit of a nightmare for him - his saliva production is impaired too, so food can easily get stuck in his throat if he doesn't drink enough or have moist enough food. He eats a mostly veggie diet, although can manage sausages and mince. Compared with lots of 4 year olds, I think he does OK!

jchoc I agree that incurable is a bitch of a word. Hope your friend is doing OK.

topsy when is DD away? Bet she will have a lovely time.

gig I used to relish DS falling asleep on me - enjoy your cuddles!

amber that situation sounds awful for you. Hope your legal team can send this odious individual away with his tail between his legs.

sometimes glad DD found storm exciting, rather than scary.

Have got some lovely Graze snacks - spicy rice crackers with chilli dip, flapjack and paprika bread. All welcome to share x x

Sometimesiwonder · 29/06/2012 12:15

Ds's teeth and eating difficulties do sound hard, Ned. What some kids have to put up with, it really does make me feel humble. He seems to have a great diet, though, how do you do it?

Yup. Our Fair is 14th too. I'm going to start drumming and sacrificing to the Sun God pretty soon now, or we won't have a hope in hell of getting the thing on Hmm. I've spent some memorably soggy times sitting on a carnival float in my time, but this year could well take the bloody biscuit.

SparkleRainbow · 29/06/2012 12:18

Wow hope everyone is all right after four seasons in one day yesterday....we actually had a roll of thunder that lasted several minutes without stopping....I am not exaggerating! Also huge hailstorms here too, veggie gardne seems to have survived in the main thankfully, I would not have been amused if that had been really damaged after all the work I have put in.

Have got two requests from possible newbies to join the facebook page.....and I am so out of touch, is this right? After the dodgy drugs lab attempting to join itself I just wanted to be sure.

Am going to have a little read back now, as I am so out of touch.

Have put some lovely creamy bacon and leek quiche on the fbs trolley....I know not really a fbs, but had top share as is soo yummy.
