Gigondas · 25/06/2012 18:40

Xabi spanish football player which I am putting in as 1. I love football and he is of course a fine player of the game 2. My bil is spanish so I can sort of claim Spain as my other country...

yikes @ dissolving lenses sparkle !

Remember the kerfuffle I had over the PLR payments with those 2 books (the author didn't want to share ) I've now been asked by the author of 'Have you started yet ?' which I illustrated years ago if I'd share the PLR 3 ways, with her and co author. This is for the updated addition which is when co-author joined in (her daughter actually) -I did some new illustrations - I have,I think, bearing in mind the horridness of MS been gracious in dropping my share from 50%. I didn't want any ill feeling... I've probably lost you all now, with that rambling story.

NedSchneebly · 25/06/2012 19:42

Evening all. Am knackered today. Spent weekend with in laws again, who requested and required DSs presence at a fundraising coffee morning for the genetic condition that he has. Was fun, and MIL reasonably well behaved, but DH was at stag do of uni mate, so had to go on my own. Have done not very much today, except treated myself to a new watch or two . . . . because I felt like it and I love watches.

Sorry to not comment on everyone's news individually, but I am thinking of you all, and sending lots of love to everyone.

Wine and Thanks to everyone x x x

MaryAnnSingleton · 25/06/2012 19:45

ned you and my dh would get on-he loves watches and has many- he has just bought an automatic fancy thing at great expense. I never wear a watch !

NedSchneebly · 25/06/2012 19:47

this lovely one and this gorgeous one too! Blush

MaryAnnSingleton · 25/06/2012 19:58

ned Grin!!

MaryAnnSingleton · 25/06/2012 20:02

dh says to show you his ! here

smee · 25/06/2012 20:17

Shall avert eyes from ongoing watch fetish. Grin

Ned, well done on getting through MIL's event. How are you feeling now? Is mouth back to normal yet?

MAS, I think you're lovely for dropping to 50%. How annoying though.

Gig, did you try the Dorritos yet?

NedSchneebly · 25/06/2012 20:34

Mmm, tell G that one is luffly MAS ! DH has a thing about Christopher Ward too - he has a slightly similar rectangular faced one. Our menfolk have good taste, I think!

Waves to smee - am mostly back to normal S/E wise, I think. Just tiredness left to get over. Revving up for rads in a week!

Talking of rads, what should I be slapping on my skin? Aloe vera? Aqueous cream? Lard?

Rads department said aqueous cream, but DSisIL, who is GP, said not, because it has alcohol in it, and can irritate the skin. Might have to pinch some of DSs eczema cream - we have big tubs of Diprobase in the house. Have also bought 99.8% aloe vera gel from Holland and Barrett, because I thought I had read somewhere that aloe was good. Am a bit Confused

smee · 25/06/2012 21:51

Waves to Ned. Smile I had an allergic reaction to Aqueous cream - v.unusual apparently. Used E45 after that. I heard Aloe vera good too. Best check with unit though.

topsyturner · 25/06/2012 22:00

I never wear a watch either Mas . For some bizarre reason they make me feel hot !

Gigs !
What is this nonsense ?
I hear you are being unfaithful to the Orange Men ?

My toes have just curled up at the thought of contact lenses disintergrating in my eye !

MaryAnnSingleton · 25/06/2012 22:12

ned as smee says, ask the rads people, I was given a tube of aqueous at my planning and used it religiously, all pretty ok until the end when I was very burned (keep skin as dry as poss then)

Gigondas · 25/06/2012 22:29

I will find some orange men Topsy.

Can I have virtual Wine as I am knackered wrapping big gigs presents. Her birthday tomorrow and seems not to be going short.

NedSchneebly · 26/06/2012 07:58

Big birthday hugs to big gig- what have you got her, gig?

Hope a lovely birthday day is had by all x x x

Gigondas · 26/06/2012 09:04

She has a lot of stuff Grin but main bits are Lego , some princessy doll stuff and some extra bits for her dolls house.

OP posts:
topsyturner · 26/06/2012 09:46

I love Lego .
Until I stand on it !

Who is on breakfast duty today ?
Mine hasn't arrived yet and I'm getting hungry ...

SparkleRainbow · 26/06/2012 09:55

Sparkle rushes in with apron on......what is your breakfast order Topsy?

MAS - think you might be being a bit over generous with dropping your % for that reason....but probably not worth the hassle and upset for you to do anything else.

Happy Birthday big Gig.

graciesmall09 · 26/06/2012 10:02

Happy birthday big Gig. Have a fab day with all your new pressies and hope mummy has a fab day NOT being too busy and relaxing loads.

I have been reading but not posting last few days but I have been thinking of you all. This chemo lark seems to be getting harder. Although the sickness seems to be ok I just feel awful. Yet again I have a sore throat and my glands in my neck, chest and back seem really sore (do you even have glands in your chest and back???). I have the energy and enthusiasm of a trodden on worm. Having picc line replaced at 8AM (who makes an appointment for 8 AM) on 9th, oh joys.

Do you think if sparkle is making breakfast for topsy she might make me a bacon sandwich?

Good luck to anyone having appointments, etc. I will be back later when I have had kick up bottom wakened up a little.

topsyturner · 26/06/2012 10:09

Bacon sarnie on whole wheat bread please , and make sure my bacons crispy !

Grin
SparkleRainbow · 26/06/2012 10:12

sparkle grovels and presents both Topsy and Gracie with a crisp bacon sandwich on homemade whole wheat...........nothing better than home made bread.

Brew to go with too!

KurriKurri · 26/06/2012 10:22

Happy Birthday Big Gig Smile - enjoy playing with your lego and princessy doll things - they sound lovely xx

Sparkle - I'll have porridge please Grin

gracie - hope you feel a bit better soon, I do remember getting the sore throat every time I had chemo - its horrid. 8 a.m. is a bit drastic for an appointment, - but maybe you'll be half asleep so won't really notice them putting in the line

Have you managed to get through to the hospital yet topsy to sort your appointments?

Waving to Ned, - I used aqueous cream religiously, but my skin still got sore, - aloe vera might be a better bet.

MAS darling, you are too nice, - I think your author has a little bit of a cheek asking you to drop your % because her DD wants in on the act Hmm

I have rebooked my theory test for Friday 13th of July (Only date available that I could make that week - but not a very auspicious one!)

DD and her friend are going to watch the men's singles final at a local cinema, - in 3d - apparently the balls shoot out of the screen at you Grin - sounds fun!
