And I'm really really scared.

Is anyone up to hold my hand and tell me it'll be ok?

Thinking of you and praying for a swift recovery. What a good job you've done of getting her in to see the doctors and getting her the help she needed. You've done really well. Hang in there.

I had meningitis and septicaemia as a teenager and came through it fine - knackered for about six months after but no lasting problems. Am thinking of you both.

Also in my experience, although I was admitted to hospital feeling pretty rotten, it was amazing how quickly I started to feel better once they got the antibiotic drip going.

Big hugs x

Hi,
I've not read all of the thread.
My ds had meningitis and septecmia at 10 weeks of age.
Horrible time.
He was really ill before diagnosis and once treatment started after 3 days he was doing absolutely brilliant!
He had iv 10 days hosp 4 at home then oral antibiotics.
He was out before his dads bday.
Ds has had 3 extra hearing tests due to meningitis and they were all fine. He's due another next week as his behaviour is a little hyper and speech and language delayed. He's 2 soon and not saying anything but once we got over treatment we were just so grateful that he was with us.
Plenty of hugs and cuddles plus loads of toys help!
Laughter is a medicine remember that!
I'm here to hold hands.
X
