And I'm really really scared.

Is anyone up to hold my hand and tell me it'll be ok?

So so glad to hear things are better. Thinking of your little B and sending positive vibes xx

Northernlurker · 11/06/2012 22:35

That sounds like she's progressing. Keep up your energy - have you had something to eat?

RobinSparkles · 11/06/2012 22:36

RachelHRD · 11/06/2012 22:37

Good to hear that today has been more positive. She is definitely a little fighter bless her.

The staff sound great and supportive. Hope you manage to get some rest now the ob's are less frequent - it's impossible to relax when they are in and out several times an hour. Hopefully you'll both sleep a bit more tonight.

Big hugs xxxx

Glad to hear little B is showing her fighting spirit and that things are improving Smile. How lovely of the nurse to call to see how you all are. Things like that help I think, knowing the staff really do care a lot. Hope you get rest. X

PeahenTailFeathers · 11/06/2012 22:48

I have only read the first two or three posts but wanted to post to tell you stopeatingthatmud that my ds had bacterial meningitis at 10 days old and is now a very healthy and strapping 13 year old ( his birhday is today!) so they can and do recover from it. Wishing your little girl a full and speedy recovery xxx

MustControlFistOfDeath · 11/06/2012 23:13

thinking of you xx

crappypatty · 12/06/2012 00:44

Thinking of you and your family and sending positive thoughts to B for a speedy recovery.

little nephew had meningitis six weeks ago, horrible illness.

StopEatingThatMud · 12/06/2012 04:18

Thanks again for all the wishes.

Patty I hope your little nephew is well on the way to being on the mend?

DD has been a little unsettled tonight, but calpol and cuddles have helped a little, I guess its just something that's to be expected. She's rubbing her head a lot but I should think she has the headache of all headaches all things considered.

Lovely nurse number 2 has just sneaked me in a hot chocolate. Hot drinks are meant to be kept in the parents room and not brought onto the ward, to avoid the risk of burns to the children but a blind eye being turned at 4am is very much appreciated, it really is the little things that help at the moment :)
