Have only just seen this thread, DH went through this as child, had a bad case, was in a coma, had a lumber punch etc. Anyway, apart from slight hearing loss he fully recovered. Just stay positive, difficult I know. Will be thinking of you.

Just checking back in, sorry to have a total slight meltdown and disappear for so long!

Today has been much more positive. We've been told things are likely to be up and down as I mentioned so I'm desperately trying not to get my hopes up too much, but there's been real glimmers of my fiesty little girl in there today.

I'm in Cambridgeshire and I honestly honestly couldn't ask for more from the staff at the hospital. The poor nurse who got stuck with me last night has just called up from home to see how we're doing :)

Whoever said about thinking about things scientifically/medically, thank you, that really helped get me through being in the room on my own while DD had her CT scan today.

I'm absolutely shattered and DD's obs have been reduced to 2 hourly so I'm going to try and get some sleep but thank you so much for all your thought, prayers and support. It really helps to know there's someone with a friendly ear to listen no matter what time of night or day it is.

Thank you for the update, have been thinking of B. Take care of yourself too, my DS2 was in ICU when little and it was the best advice I got from the nurses, to eat as well as possible, to shower, to pop out for fresh air. It's hard on you too and keeping your strength up is important x
