Hiya Grin

I'm Bella...

Have about 7lb's to lose before my BiG APPLE trip which is ooooh only a few days to go.

Have had quite a good day food wise, apart from the choc hob nob and glass of wine. No gym today as I am doing extra hours at work invigilating.

How the feck is everyone?

BellaVita · 10/06/2012 21:53

I haven't read Twilight Trills.

OP posts:
Trills · 10/06/2012 21:56

It's probably better if you haven't Bella :)

It's not terribly well written but it's entertaining and smutty.

ThatVikRinA22 · 10/06/2012 21:58

its a rather racy novel dressed up as 'proper' literature....a bit highbrow but still very saucy....

here

Trills · 10/06/2012 22:01

Back before Kindles you had to pretend to be reading proper literature, now you can read any old trash and nobody knows it :o

BellaVita · 10/06/2012 22:05

Unless they have a look at your Amazon account to see which samples and books you have downloaded Blush Grin

Maybe I will download O!

ThatVikRinA22 · 10/06/2012 22:08

The Story of O is most definitely one to set your pulse racing!

YankNCock · 10/06/2012 22:38

Envy at everyone reading. I got a couple of books from the library, normally get through stuff really quickly, but am finding it hurts my hands too much to hold a book for any length of time. I read a book on my mom's kindle when she was here, and holding that wasn't too bad, but hands are worse now and I don't have money for a kindle, so not an option!

Mostly listening to podcasts now. I did try to get a book I'd wanted to read on audiobook from the library, but it was on bloody cassettes! I really need to go to the big library and see what they've got on CD.

Had smoky bacon and aubergine pasta in a tomato sauce for dinner, but feeling like I need a snack before bed.

ThatVikRinA22 · 10/06/2012 23:12

ive let myself down with the Wine again....Sad

and also need a snack. we actually got to meet DDs boyfriend today (shock shock horror horror!!) no idea what brought that on as she has kept us at arms length for the last, oh, 5 months or so.....we were just too embarrassing, up until today. not a clue what changed. we certainly havent!

so we did a sunday dinner, roast beef, all the trimmings. He seems very nice. very "wholesome" Grin and much like her.

DD is 15.

(and even though i threatened to get all her nude baby pictures out i refrained...Grin)

MrsNouveauRichards · 11/06/2012 07:45

Good morning.

Crappy day here, rainy and windy and a bit rubbish.

Vicar, it scares me to hear people talk of their teenagers, DD is only 4, but sometimes I look at her and I see a 14yr old and it terrifies me! I can see how people say it goes quickly.

BitchyInTheCorner · 11/06/2012 10:07

Good morning.

Breakfast (3am) crumpets
snack (7:30am) muesli bar and bottle of coke
2nd breakfast from a certain fast food chain that shall remain nameless.

Have also done nearly 3hrs of training though. Mind you, couldn't exactly call it areobic exercise this morning. Hmm felxibility work perhaps?

Ex scared me a while back when he said ds was nearly half way to 18. 7 is not nearly half way but still it does go fast.

Lizzylou · 11/06/2012 12:59

Hellooo
Still tired from the weekend Hmm
Luckily I am now in serious training for my challenge thingy. After watching the England game tonight.
V excited, low the Euro/World cups, even if we're pants!

jaquelinehyde · 12/06/2012 11:37

Lizzy I'm loving all the football I'm doing appallingly in the predictions league I'm in but there have been some shocking results so far, so I'm not too bothered!

Weigh in day tomorrow and I will be over the moon if I manage to stay the same as my eating has been soooo bad also Af is knocking on the door so weight loss is pretty much impossible I'm sure.

How is everyone doing anyway?

Lizzylou · 12/06/2012 12:05

Jaq, I thought last night's game was way better than I thought, though I hardly recognised an England player (which is prob for the best), they actually looked like they wanted to play and have a go.

I have Ukraine in the sweepstake at work, I was a bit Hmm but they won last night so hey ho.

Just had a slim a soup to quell hunger, not worked!

Jaq, you keep going my lovely.

MittzbethSalander · 12/06/2012 12:07

Hello, Smile

I have a very poorly DS and am too tired to function.
Sad I could cry............

Lizzylou · 12/06/2012 12:58

Oh Poor Mittz, is he no better? Poor DS, he must be very poorly.

Can anyone help you out so you can have a nap? Can you sleep when he does?

Hope he gets better soon x

jaquelinehyde · 12/06/2012 13:12

Sad oh mitz you poor thing, I hope ds starts to feel better soon so you can get some sleep.

Lizzy ideally enjoyed the game yesterday, I thoughtless looked really strong at the back and played more as a team than I have seen in a while. Roll on Friday evening! COME ON ENGLAND!!!!

BitchyInTheCorner · 12/06/2012 16:41

Sorry you are feeling so run down mittz. Hope ds starts to improve soon.

Breakfast: crumpets, 1 soft boiled egg, 2 coffees
Lunch: coffee and egg mayo sandwich, orange juice
snack: coffee and 2 roses chocolates
Tea will be cottage pie.

Exercise: 20mins walk, 1hr 30mins proper training later

Something is wrong. i went out for chocolate earlier and came back with apples and the orange juice. HmmShock Still wanted chocolate though. Will get one for post training tonight.

Tonight after training my evening will be occupied with the box of hair dye that is currently looking at me.

MrsNouveauRichards · 12/06/2012 17:03

Mittz, poor DS and poor you :(

I think my kids hate me, and tbh, the feeling is pretty mutual atm, they have been horrible today and I am struggling with the overwhelming feeling I have that I should shut them in the garden permanently

Lizzylou · 12/06/2012 18:52

Bitchy, please stop mentioning crumpets!!! ONly because I can only eat them slathered in butter with lots of strong cheddar on top (curses to DH for that heavenly food intro) Grin

Mrs N, I can remember those days well, nowadays mine make me feel shite as they keep saying they miss me (when I am at work). I get a tad confused because I always think I end up repeating "stop that DS1", "DS2, get your finger OUT of DS1's nose", "No you cannot play on the Wii" and "NOOOOOOO!" etc etc etc etc
ON rainy days I just used to want to sit in the dowstairs loo with a bottle of gin and some thorntons when they were preschoolers in all honesty.

Mittz, hoping you got some rest my darling.

MittzbethSalander · 12/06/2012 21:14

MrsNR Sad It can be really hard. I went through it with DS, really struggled to like him and had to pretend for a very long time.
I wanted to run away, because I didn't like me very much either, but it does pass and change.

DS was diagnosed with a Viral Infection, Glandular Fever and Tonsillitis, aggravated by Hayfever. He has been so dreadfully poorly. He has lost about 1/2 stone and is listless, gets awful headaches and earache.
Poorly love has been so ill.
I have eaten anything that hasn't moved! Stress comfort eating Blush

How are you doing Yank, of you are around?

BellaVita · 12/06/2012 21:25

Poor DS Mitzz Shock. Hope he starts to recover soon.

MrsNR - I used to be like that with mine.

I am in the middle of icing a chocolate cake.

BellaVita · 12/06/2012 22:02

I had a phone call whilst at work today from DS1/2's school (my first thought was oh god, what has DS2 done now...) Blush. He had been involved in an accident at lunchtime and was hit in the face which resulted in the loosening of a tooth.

I and DH did a mercy dash to school to find it was a side tooth (we both thought the way it was told that his front teeth were hanging out). Anyway, managed to get an emergency dental appt and they extracted the tooth - turns out it was a baby one. I didn't realise he had any baby ones still left Shock

OP posts:
MittzbethSalander · 12/06/2012 22:23

I have had that feeling Bella Grin and also Blush

DS (14) also has some reluctant baby teeth! He has 2 sets in a lot of . places.
Hope he is OK. One's life is never dull with some children HmmGrin

YankNCock · 13/06/2012 07:04

bella, my brother was one for knocking out/chipping teeth too. Glad it wasn't a permanent one!

Mittz, eek, glandular fever is yuck. I got it my last month at uni, fortunately was a mild case, there was only a week where I couldn't get out of bed. He needs lots and lots of rest, hopefully he won't push it.

35 weeks today, pretty sure baby has 'dropped', back to thinking I will probably go for the VBAC rather than ELCS. DH not happy/quite nervous, but it's not his call now, is it? Midwife tomorrow and consultant next Tues.

MrsNouveauRichards · 13/06/2012 07:22

Mittz - poor DS! I suppose it is at least a slight relief to know why he is poorly now. Hope he gets better soon and that you de-stress a little.

Bella - lucky it was just a baby tooth!

Yank, i think you are due around the same time as my friend. She is also getting fed up (but tbh, she has it really easy)

Had a crappy nights sleep again, very busy dreams and DH kept cuddling up because he was cold and it kept waking me up.
