Greylady here's a link to MAS' blog.
Kurri you are doing absolutely brilliantly with the driving!
And I too was wondering what on earth was up with Dale's eyes - I was riveted! And the big clumpy eyelashes! Am also in awe of you starting C25K. Would love to try this but not sure my feet/joints would be up to it.
Happy to cheer you on though! x
Gracie - I too had private chemo so couldn't get the voucher for the wig, felt very unfair indeed and everyone I asked, both NHS and private, seemed as surprised as I was. However, I did use the Cold Cap, very successfully. My mum suffers from severe depression and was going through a very bad patch when i was dxd, so I decided not to tell her as far as possible. She has also always had a particular fear of cancer. Although my hair thinned a lot, it was quite even, no bald patches, and my mum never guessed anything was up (partly due to the introverted nature of depression no doubt: she didn't even query my lack of eyebrows and eyelashes). Just before I started chemo I did panic about the cold cap not working and impulsively bought an 'emergency wig' from eBay for £18 inc p&p!
It only had one outing: on DS2's head when he was being Charles II at school for 'Stuarts day'!
Shame really, it was much nicer than my real hair, especially as I couldn't dye it and barely dared to touch it or have it cut. I wasn't too bothered about losing my hair to be honest. If you want to ask anything else about private chemo or the cold cap, fire away! x
Just blubbed my way through the last part of 'Drownton Abbey'
Bloody hormones! We went to see 'The Hunger Games' during the hols and I sat there with tears running down my face through the start of that too...
