It could be gallstones Fab - didn't you have some symptoms not long ago that could've been gallstone related too? Have you had it ruled out by doctor?

I was getting shoulder blade and stomach pain and palpations. The palps were me panicking I think, the rest was put down to hernia.

TheOriginalFAB · 27/10/2011 19:44

I am waiting on a scan for that but the GP was only referring me under duress. I haven't heard anything yet. Just fed up of being ill all the time.

I had bleeding as well last time but none when the lab checked, so gp said wasn't a problem. I think I am beleding again Confused.

you 'think' you are bleeding again? Surely you will know if you are or not?

I had a scan for gallstones, but be careful, the scan only shows stones - you need a Hida scan to show if your gallbladder is functioning properly (if they suspect that is the problem). I haven't had the agonising pain that people with gallstones suffer, but have had pain and symptoms, hence them checking the way it is functioning.

I don't think bleeding is a symptom of gallstones though. If you are bleeding for no reason though, that alone needs to be checked out Fab.

TheOriginalFAB · 27/10/2011 20:52

I haven't been to check but felt something Blush.

I have had pain spread down my arm but it has eased off a bit now but I have pain in my legs. Just fed up with it all.

If you are bleeding could you be pregnant and having an ectopic? I know that shoulder pain can be a symptom of that.

TheOriginalFAB · 27/10/2011 20:57

No, DH has had the snip.

I think I might take myself to bed soon.

Ah ok, didn't know what you meant when you said you think you are.

Have you actually been to the doctors and talked through ALL of your symptoms? It seems that you have a lot going on and they need to do a complete health check on you. You have lots of different symptoms that could be anything really and they need to completely check them out.

I know its frustrating, I have been/am going through similar at the moment, not knowing what is wrong.

BertieBotts · 27/10/2011 21:05

Back/left arm can be referred pain from the heart though. It's a pain but I'd say worth getting checked out tonight.

TheOriginalFAB · 27/10/2011 21:09

I have been having regular anxiety attacks and today I have felt like my heart was jumping. I am scared tbh.

Erm I think you ought to be heading off to A&E!

Going to bed isn't going to make you feel less scared. Go to A&E and let them reassure you :)

BertieBotts · 27/10/2011 21:11

Then go - it will probably be fine, but it's better to know. Do you have anyone who could go with you?

TheOriginalFAB · 27/10/2011 21:17

Okay, now I am getting paranoid. I moved my arm to see if it still hurt and got weird feelings in my chest. Have no one to go with as DS1 is here and DD and DS2 is with PIL so they can't come either. I will see how I am in a few minutes. I can't face the hospital tbh but will go if I feel I do need checking up. DH is off tmw so I can see the GP tmw if I am fine tonight but not in the morning.

gallstone pain tends to be on the right...left shoulder blade pain can be pain from bleeding irritating your diaphragm from what I remember when I had an ectopic pregnancy, but it was many years ago now so don't rely on what I say, it's only my own experience not any medical training so I may not know what I am talking about.

RichTeaAreCrap · 27/10/2011 21:25

I don't want to scare you Fab, but chest pain really should be looked at.

It really could be the panic attacks causing it, but heart/chest pains ALWAYS need to be checked out.

BertieBotts · 27/10/2011 21:39

Spooky that sounds right, based on my googling (have been having right shoulder blade pain lately)

Tends to be shoulder tip pain from the diaphragm, but general shoulder/arm area. DON'T google.

No friends who could come to hosp with you at all? If you were my friend I wouldn't at all think it too late to phone for something like this. (TBH it's not even 10 yet anyway so most people will still be up)

pozzled · 27/10/2011 21:52

Fab, I would at the very least be phoning NHS Direct with your symptoms, if not 999. Could one of your PIL come to your house to stay with your DS1?

Kayzr · 27/10/2011 21:52

Fab, go to A&E. Its better to be safe than sorry. Hope it all turns out ok.

Cheeseandseveredfingersarnie · 27/10/2011 21:57

go to a and e.im sure someone can help with dc.even if its just to put your mind at rest

TheOriginalFAB · 27/10/2011 22:04

I have just taken 2 paracetomol. The main pain is in my left arm. DH wonders if it is the FM I have. I have pain in my left breast too.

I knew you had put that before I opened the thread.

By health anxiety, which btw I don't think I do have, are you saying the pains are imagined?

What about phoning the out of hours GP. They may be able to assess if there is a problem.

TheOriginalFAB · 27/10/2011 22:37

I don't have breast cancer. I am still waiting results.

I don't have HA. I only worry about my helath in terms of being here for my kdis. Not in a hypocondriac way.

I have a lot of stress in my life at ma dn I suspect ,y body is reacting to that.
