Hello all.
Oh Sparkles, I'm so so sorry to hear your news.
The advice given is brilliant and I don't have anything to add except to say that I am sure you and your DH will cope once you have got over the initial shock. Sending you a hug ((((((((())))))))))
Pink, my armpit turned black about 7 days after my last radiotherapy session and the surrounding area looks very wrinkled and sore and felt very tight for a few days. The blackness has gone now (all that airing did the trick) and despite the horrible appearance of the rest of the area, the nurse assures me it's perfectly normal. Their main concern is getting an infection so it's best to get it looked at just to be on the safe side.
I love the idea of a booby-themed party. I haven't got any suggestions for the food (yet) but I'm sure we'll come up with some fun ideas.
Jane, those two days off are fab, aren't they? Make the most of them and spoil yourself. I remember, one weekend, I wanted to go to Waitrose and drove straight past and found myself driving nearly all the way to the hospital before I realised it was a "no rads day". I think my brain was on auto-pilot.
We are luxuriating in warmth and hot water now our new boiler's installed. It was a lonnnnggggggg three days!!!
