I'm not still living near Acocks Green. It just seems like it sometimes as I go down to Olton alternate weekends. I'm having this weekend off for good behaviour because I'm in the middle of rads. My brother will be there though... Hard work sometimes having an elderly mother.

jchocchip · 04/11/2011 13:22

I've been in exile in Yorkshire for 19 years. My Mum bless her has been exiled FROM Yorkshire for over 50 years. Wish she could come back, would make my life a lot less complicated. ;)

butterfliesinmytummy · 04/11/2011 13:26

Drift, are you trying to make me feel guilty? Wink No swimming today as the pool is outside and it's rainy season (seems to have been going on for months). Now that I know you're watching, will have to do a few lengths over the weekend. Come join me after your op, I'll save you a lane x

Sparkle, what crappy news, and such huge implications. You need a battle plan as others have said, both for finance and you and your DH in terms of support. Does your DH exercise? I have friends whose depression has been helped by taking up running - a small and probably useless suggestion but one nevertheless. Positive thoughts for you x

KurriKurri · 04/11/2011 13:29

((((hugs))))) to Sparkle and MrSparkle - that is a blow you really don't need Sad. But wise words from Smee - let it sink in a bit, then you can gather your thoughts. There are loads of things you can do before it gets anywhere near the point of losing your house. citizens Advice might be a good place to start, they will tell you how to organise things, who to prioritise in terms of bills etc. etc. Try not to panic, and I hope after the initial blow your DH will be able to cope.

Hello to everyone else, pink - my skin problems came just after I'd finished rads, - it does carry on working for several weeks, but definitely mention it - as Cakes says, ABs and good dressings may well be needed.

I can tell you that zumba is brilliant - really good fun, - the hour went really quickly, and we were all making south american party noises by the end (yip yip!), I feel as if I've had a good work out.

Quiet weekend for me - DD has gone up to Sheffield to stay with friends, and go to a big Fireworks display.

Blimey Cat - who'd have thought it, indeed! The Westley's fame has spread far and wide. We'll know where to hold the inaugural Women's Lopsided Chest Convention, that's for sure!

KurriKurri · 04/11/2011 14:11

arf at the Women's Lopsided Chest Convention Grin - we have to set that up, I really want to go!

Me too, and we could have all those boob-themed treats that Smee had at her post-treatment wig's wake. Ah I can see it now....

MaryAnnSingleton · 04/11/2011 14:34

I feel left out of the little Birmingham clique !

cakesandale · 04/11/2011 14:36

No don't! Anyone with a lopsided chest is very welcome at our convention! especially you as the originator of our esteemed thread (s).

And actually the area surrounding the Westley is a bit of a pit Shock

cakesandale · 04/11/2011 14:37

More than a bit, if I'm honest....

smee · 04/11/2011 14:40

Ooh I'd love that. Am sure I'd fit in as even my new breasts are wonky. Breast shaped blancmange and cup cakes. Grin

cat, my BF at school lived in Northfield. Smile

KurriKurri · 04/11/2011 14:43

My DBIL is from Wolverhampton . Grin

Right, who's going to draw up a list of tit snacks?

cakesandale · 04/11/2011 14:44

My DH lived in Northfield during his last year at Uni. I can only apologise if anyone there is still traumatised, he was a bit of an animal in those days Grin

cakesandale · 04/11/2011 14:45

Hats off to anyone who has a Wolvo link, They is proper hard, innit.

cakesandale · 04/11/2011 14:46

Smee has the head start on the tit snacks as she has done it before. But we'd need chicken breasts, obviously, and baps.........

smee · 04/11/2011 14:56

Grin at Cakes. Can't remember much about my party as I was too busy getting drunk socialising.

Oh no it was DH, not DB - (DB is a Canon dontchaknow - cathedral, not weapon of mass destruction Grin )

And my Granddad spent his mentally declining years in some retirement place in Northfield, so it really is a small place indeed!

For dessert we could have Syllaboob

smee · 04/11/2011 15:06

I have a feeling Topsy will have some ideas. Grin

DeeScent · 04/11/2011 15:06

Are those 40B cup-cakes or shall we make a whole range of sizes? Grin

cakesandale · 04/11/2011 16:14

Range, I think - sizes and shapes.....

Driftwood999 · 04/11/2011 16:48

butterfliesinmytummy - Let me know how it goes and I can imagine/enjoy the stretch with you. I had my last swim today for a while Sad
