I have endometriosis and for the past 6 months or so I have noticed I seem to have a small amount of blood on my pad higher up with a space between the usual blood when I am on my period. Could this be coming from where I wee? I do go to the hospital every 6 months but forgot to ask last week when I went..DOH!!! It may just be travelling alon the pad but for there to be a space inbetween seems wierd. I feel a bit of a div for asking but I do know that endo can get everywhere and was wondering if it could be in my bladder.
Has anyone else experienced this?

@MomSad when you say no more bleeding do you mean you don't see ur period through the urethra anymore? That has healed up?

MomSad · 25/10/2023 02:59

Yes that is exactly what I am saying.... no more bleeding or discharge or anything from the urethra. No one understands why it no longer bleeds, but I know for a fact it's the b12 injections in my arm and legs. I feel so much better. I still have some discomfort in my pelvic floor, but at least I am no longer bleeding. I never experienced this before 2020 and I am 57. This tells you there is something more here ..... I do not get my period any longer since 2017, so the bleeding had to come from somewhere, but every exam showed nothing, zero. Now I am taking b12 and see results I never thought I would ever see. It's been consistent too since end June this year. Prior to June I was spotting, bleeding, crazy bleeding, and everyone thought I needed a hysterectomy. No way..... no way, if no one knows why I'm bleeding, why would I opt to remove my lady bits. No way. It's an excuse for nothing and I have come across ladies who did get their ovaries removed, and they are still bleeding and spotting from the urethra. It's never a risk I am willing to take to remove lady bits because they don't know. It's as if someone is asking me to remove my tongue if my teeth hurt. Come on, crazy.....these options are not acceptable. I hope your journey brings you relief. :)

I take b12 injections daily with 5 mg folate because b12 reduces folate. I will continue to do that until my symptoms reduce. B12 has changed my life. I felt pain since I was a young child and now it’s so much better. Not everyone feels comfortable taking injections daily and no Dr will do it but if you read the literature it shows to heal nerve damage. I can take a shower without feeling intense pain when I rinse pelvic parts. Sex it’s still not possible but hopefully in the future it will heal to the point I can. I used to take b12 weekly but it only worked for one day and I tried twice a week and still not enough. That’s why I chose to do it daily in my own. It’s scary for me but after reading it is water soluble and I’m getting better. That’s huge for me. I was considering leaving the world because Dr washed their hands and said there’s nothing more that could be done. Then I discovered b12 injections and it changed my life. It’s up to me now. If Dr can’t help me I’d rather do this on my own. I am not telling you what to do. Check Facebook pernicious anemia and b12 and you will see so many don’t have diagnosis but b12 helps them live again. I thank God everyday for this opportunity. I wish you all well and God bless

B12 should be injected into the muscle and rotated. The fatty area it’ is ok but muscle is better so the upper arms or thigh but not in the veins. Sometimes I get it in the vein but it’s better in the muscle. Just some extra info. Don’t put it in the inner thigh because the main artery is there. Outer thigh, tummy, upper arm is good. Everyday I rotate. I used to get scared but now I look forward to it and I sleep better. My thyroid and eyesight has improved so much too and I can bend over so much better. You can buy it at pharmacy ace it’s not expensive. I wish my Dr agreed with me but I know I’m doing the right thing for my body. And drinking alcohol just reduces b12. Sorry ladies but knowing that I still have my drink but not often. Celtic salt is also so very good. If you can find it I put a grain on my tongue and dissolve it naturally before each glass of water. So so so good for our body too. I never get up on the middle of the night 10 times to pee anymore.

Hi ladies, Im new to Mumsnet and have never joined a forum but for this I am. I’m adding to this thread because I too have the same problem:

  1. after c- section in 2016 I had clear period bleeding from urethra. No doctor took me seriously or investigated further
  2. i also have small period clotting from urethra
  3. i did go on to have another child in 2022 (after a miscarriage). I dont contracept so conception seems difficult.
  4. during second pregnancy the doctors could see I have a heart shaped womb (forget the medical term for it). Don’t know if its linked so writing it here

I now moved, am living in the Netherlands with better healthcare than Ireland. I’ve other issues that I’m visiting my doctor about and hope they will also look into this.

For those with this issue; do you also have endemetriosis? I’m a little worried at the moment because I broke my rule of googling my current symptoms and I’m concerned about the worst 😣 endometriosis has never been confirmed for me, I have many symptoms but no regular pain (only during passing stool while menstruating). I will let you know how I get on, please God all will be well.

Hi there! Curious if anyone has found any resolutions to their problem relating to bleeding from the urethra? I have found that mine now happens from my rectum as well now. I have gotten a cystoscopy, and the doctors did not find anything. Any insight is helpful, as each period is starting to diminish my quality of living, but I've been dismissed by my doctors and im afraid to do any other procedures.
