I have endometriosis and for the past 6 months or so I have noticed I seem to have a small amount of blood on my pad higher up with a space between the usual blood when I am on my period. Could this be coming from where I wee? I do go to the hospital every 6 months but forgot to ask last week when I went..DOH!!! It may just be travelling alon the pad but for there to be a space inbetween seems wierd. I feel a bit of a div for asking but I do know that endo can get everywhere and was wondering if it could be in my bladder.
Has anyone else experienced this?

I have had this for years, spot at the top near urethra and spot at the bottom through normal menstrual place. Never had pain. Just today started wondering why I have 2 period on my pad with a big gap between them. I thought it had travelled as well, maybe when you shift about, sit, stand or lie down. Actually got worried about it today.

Anj29 · 03/06/2023 16:32

Also I have 3 adult children and never had a c-section. I don’t know when it started tbh but I know it’s been years. I’m peri meno at the moment.

I’ve been reading a lot on B12 deficiency and I read an area where, bleeding after menopause and pain in the pelvic floor along side with incontinence can be a result of B12 deficiency. B12 injections are very easy to obtain without a doctors certificate, so I tried and the bleeding completely stopped And the pain reduced significantly. Blood test for B12 deficiency is very difficult to obtain accuracy because of the range and far too many people suffer from B12 deficiency and don’t even know it taking excessive. B12 causes the body to urinate it out and the risks are quite low , so I decided to continue getting B12 shots to see if improvements continue.

For those with this bleeding issue as well as UTai or cystitis as they diagnose us. I am currently on krill oil and I feel less burning. Idk if that is a discovery. But thought to help . As we need to help each other. This has help with inflammation

MomSad · 04/06/2023 20:15

I have reoccurring uti issues as well. Being post menopausal and having a twin sis with zero issues like myself, it’s not related to menopause in my opinion. How much krill oil do you use and how do you take it?
thank you for sharing

Dnikaa · 04/06/2023 23:18

So I don't have kids I'm 31 years old. I take it once per day. Haven't felt severe burning since on it. Bought the blue bottle krill oil on Amazon. It contains 30 capsules.

Also, did the b12 stop the period from coming from urethra?

MomSad · 05/06/2023 19:15

it has reduced it significantly and I’m hoping in time it will stop completely. I always thought this was totally hormone related and it could be one factor, but I’m thyroid deficient and even though my b12 is low normal my symptoms say otherwise so that’s why I started b12 injections because I could but tolerate the pills. It has been a huge blessing so far. My feet had regained some feeling and tingling has stopped and the bleeding has stopped but I won’t know for sure because this is the first time I’ve gone several days with no bleeding or spotting from the urethra. All dr have said they don’t know why and I’ve gone through many tests. B12 is what I’m hoping works because even though we are decades apart I know in my heart this is not from menopause. Lastly, I also experienced involuntary climaxing even laying down relaxed and sensitive to noises and had my hearing checked normal. The mirana iud saved my life because it helped stop climaxing but I still experience contractions in the uterus just like child birth but it’s only the uterus. The b12 stopped contractions. I’m not special, I know that there’s a simple reason for this because tingling and pain in the pelvic is but the only area. Reading on b12 deficiency it’s quite interesting how they all relate to me but no one talks about pelvic other than bleeding and finding info on b12 is not easy. I’m holding off until day 6 for my next injection. I hope my experience helps even just one person out there because I’ve read too many awful stories where others gave up and I completely understand, pain in that area limits the people we talk to about it and we are often looked at like we are diseased when in fact we deserve the same kindness we give in this world. Any questions? Ask anytime and I will take the krill thank you

Thank u with love

Im 33, no past births, and im experiencing the same thing. I had a cystoscopy right before the start of my period and my doctor didnt find anything and doesnt think its really happening. I have had my period twice since, and am getting 1/3 of my period on the liner i use when i wear a tampon. Would love to know if you ever found out what it was.

Hop3full · 15/06/2023 00:36

By the same thing im referring to bleeding from the urethra. Very interested if anyone ever found a resolution.

MissyMoo81 · 15/06/2023 04:07

I’m sorry you got a doctor who doesn’t believe you! My urologist has concluded I have endometriosis somewhere in my ureter or bladder, but she hasn’t actually found it in the cystoscopy or seen it anywhere. She just doesn’t think it could be anything else after the cystoscopy, urine tests, blood tests, ultrasounds and mri showed nothing. No evidence of a fistula or other nasties. She has recommended that I use a hormonal iud like merena until menopause (I’m 44 and finished having children).
I hope you get some answers.

ambsmills95 · 30/06/2023 01:31

Has anyone had a baby after experiencing this issue?

Hop3full · 13/07/2023 08:42

I just had my mri and it showed nothing as well. I'm thinking that I should go on birth control since I don't plan on having babies for another 3 years. I'll keep you all updated in the next few months.

Sunshine110 · 21/08/2023 23:25

Hi everyone, a late night Google has lead me to this thread and I feel like crying!!
Backstory time... I cant remember a time I didnt bleed through my urethra when on my period, I think its always happened. I told my mum about it when I was 18 as she asked me why I hadn't started using tampons yet and I said I cant as it doesn't stop the blood coming from both holes and when I did use a tampon I would get severe cramps. She was obviously confused and pressed me on what I meant. I explained and showed her my pad with the gap between the blood. We then went to the doctors, like many of you ladies it didnt go well. I was examined externally, had a cystoscopy, was put under general anesthetic and had an examination in my womb and everything came back normal. Many doctors told me it couldn't be happening and that it was just the blood moving up my pad. Once they ruled out it wasn't cancer after the womb examination I was basically told they couldn't find anything I've not got cancer so just live with it.
Like some on this thread I was worried how this would affect having a baby and as I always wanted to be a mum I had a baby a year later. I've had 2 children one a vaginal birth and one a c-section. So the lady asking if you can have children with this, yes you can.
I'm now 34 and the urethra bleeding has got so much worse, I loose pretty much all my blood through there and have really heavy periods, discharge and clots. TMI warning... what i find the most strange is when I have sex with my husband his stuff also comes out of there 🤔 which makes me think there must be a fistula and can't be endometriosis however a fistula wasn't found.
Sorry about the essay but I feel so relieved to know I'm not alone after all these years.
As my periods are so heavy I've developed anemia so the doctor has recommended the mirena coil, after reading this thread it seems it might help so I'm going to give it a go.

Hop3full · 24/08/2023 07:12

I'm sorry you are experiencing the same thing but it does bring me a glimmer of hope that you were able to have children. Someone had recommended the mirena to me too, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to handle the insertion or removal. I'm thinking maybe this issue is hormonal and some wires crossed? Let me know how the mirena goes. Someone else on this thread tried it, so maybe that's the solution, or close to it?

ambsmills95 · 26/08/2023 03:13

That’s fascinating that you have had kids despite this.

& yes, I am bleeding more & more through my urethra as the years pass. It started out as a little period blood & now it’s a ton through the urethra.

My periods are also heavy as well! I hate that for us! Thank the Lord we don’t get constant UTIs.

& yes fistulas and endometriosis have been ruled out in a lot of these cases on this forum, as it was ruled out for me as well.

A doc mentioned it could be endometriosis in the ureters of kidneys, but it can’t be that. I don’t pee period blood. It isn’t in my pee. It gushes out of my urethra. That makes perfect sense your hubs “stuff” would also come out of there.

Also, TMI, but healthy normal discharge that sometimes comes out of the vagina, also comes out of my urethra. Like anything that comes out of my vagina also comes out of my urethra.

This is crazy. Praying for us all

Hop3full · 26/08/2023 17:30

You all are a God send. While dealing with this strange bodily function, I have found a lot of period panties that help during ovulation, and my period and adjusted my wardrobe. Lots of skirts and loose pants (black) just in case.

I'm glad I can ease some fears of being able to have children. It was my main worry and pregnancy was a scary time with not knowing what was going to happen in labour esp as no doctors would believe me about my periods but thank goodness it was fine (my c-section the second time was down to babies heart rate dropping not because of this issue).

I know exactly what you mean, I don't wee out period blood, it comes gushing out onto my pad no wee comes out at the same time. I think Dr's think we're stupid and as there is period blood when we go toilet for a wee we think it's come out our urethra 😒

Yes I too lose discharge from there, pretty much anything that's meant to come from my vagina now comes out my urethra.

I really hope now we've found each other one of us will be able to get answers and help us all out. There must be others out there too, I just wish these Dr's would listen.

My urine also come from two places, not any discharge from vagina through out the month

Soniabishiyar · 10/09/2023 10:41

I had gallbladder surgery. Then my urine retention for 8 days. After catheter for two days it get normal. But from after that my period come from urethra. No discharge from vagina through out the month. Urine also come from urethra and sometimes vagina too. Ct urography, cystoscopy at the time of period is done. But not any findings. I am so frustrated. I think due to urine retention some hole is formed between my vagina and urethra I have no baby. From that month same things happened with me. No discharge from vagina come. At time of period brown blood with green mix come. What to do, please help me

Soniabishiyar · 20/10/2023 06:09

Is your pee also come from urethra and vagina??

MomSad · 21/10/2023 09:18

I had a mirena iud inserted twice because I pushed it out once due to pelvic floor contractions. I was told to try it again. The bleeding and pain stopped after taking b12 injections. My dr doesn’t are totally but it worked and no more pain or bleeding. There is a Facebook group for b12 information called pernicious anemia and b12 and even though I’ve never been diagnosed my b12 is under 400 in the bloodwork so I take 1 cc of b12 daily and I feel so much better and no no no no bleeding. I may reduce it to half of the amount in a few months but right now I feel like I’m living again. I was in pain as a child through out my joints and back as a kid and was told it’s growing pains. Thank goodness you can get b12 injections at the pharmacy and it’s only 12 dollars for 5 injections. I’m much happier. No one could figure this out and yet the first time I tried b12 injected in my arm the pain in the pelvic stopped. Go get your b12 checked at your dr. Read up on b12 and don’t bother to take pills because they don’t get in the bloodstream and you just pee it out. I used to be scared of needles but now my life is so much better I can’t wait to do it. Good luck everyone

MomSad · 21/10/2023 09:22

No more bleedin and the pain so much better. I take b12 injections everyday. Check out Facebook for pernicious anemia and b12 deficiency. It saved my life
