TwistedSisterhood - thinking of you very much. Well done for taking your DS to the GP, and well done for following it up, even though the gp said it was ok.

xxxxxx

I really hope that everythings ok with TS son.

Always check out these symptoms in a child but remember they don't always appear especialy in young children.

My dd aged 19 months who passed way to pneumococcal meningitis in April had no rash, no stiff neck , no aversion to light just high temperature, drowseness and vomiting the only time a doctor thought she had a something serious was when she had a fit which was 2 days after symptoms first appeared.

I will keep watching the thread for any news, i have my fingers crossed that all is well.

Amyjade

Miaou · 09/11/2005 22:23

Just seen this,

Huggy don't worry just yet - they may take a while to fully assess her ds, and given the nature of the symptoms I'll be amazed if they didn't want to keep him in overnight just as a precaution.

AmyJade - I'm so sorry

edam · 09/11/2005 22:26

Am starting to get really worried now about J
She is normally good at checking in to let you know the score if something like this happens...

Janh · 10/11/2005 10:37

Oh dear, this is the first chance I've had to log on and was hoping there'd be something from TS - she sent me a text at 1.45am saying DS was in hospital, the rash was worse and they were waiting for blood results - have just left another voicemail.

Home phone is going straight to answerphone too but that could be a good sign, they might be home asleep and phone switched off...

Will post if I hear anything.

BudaBabe · 10/11/2005 10:38
