Oh god what a scarey time, I've just found this thread, and when reading your ds syptoms the first thing I thought of was HSP, My son had this when he was 4 and infact I had replied on someones thread months ago whom thier dd had syptoms but it turned out not to be HSP. My son had HSP very bad, its starts at tops of the limbs and the rash/purple bruises raises itself until it looks a bit scaley and dies down again but my ds's rash covered his full body attacking his joints which became very sore and swollen, he has regular urine and blood pressure checks to check his kidney is functioning properly as in extreme cases as ds had, it can attack the kidneys up to a year after having HSP.

Nasty one isnt it kidstrack. my DB had it when he was 8 or 9 during the summer holidays. HE lost about 3 stone because he had the blood blisters in his intestines as well as around his joints.

Yes queenvictoria, and very scarey too, especially when you see that sort of rash and automatically associate it with something so serious, the releif that washed over me that day was overwhelming, ds had been complaning of sore legs/arms etc and had been off nursery for 2 days he seemed to have a bit of a cold which his body couln't fight off hence the HSP developing. Very glad to hear TS son is better.
