I dread to think how much a month I spend these days. before I started back at work we were skinty oh, so the first half of the month I would spend loads, and the second half would be making the last tenner or so streeeeetch. I was shocked brian as I thought it was 400 on a weekly shop....In the days pre-credit crunch before food went up I could manage on about 30 quid a week.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 24/11/2010 21:01

Yes, £200 - £250 all in for the month. I probably spend another £20 a week topping up bread or milk or fruit, and that doesn't include fags.

I used to have to do it for £30 a week, so £250 a month feels like a luxury budget. Grin

Mouseface · 24/11/2010 21:09

back in the day, you had a tub of lego bricks, a green plate, and your imagination. my imagination never ran to more than repetitive variants on brick walls/houses. whereas these days it's all singing all dancing kits. If you are shocked at the price of lego star wars, then have a look on ebay or amazon for rare ones like Lego Batman Wink

Mouseface · 24/11/2010 22:07

You had the same Lego as me Brickie. Or as my brother rather!

My mum still has it all. And all of his Duplo which Nemo plays with when we are there.

Happy days.

Right, I am off to battle with Nemo to go to sleep soothe my son to sleep whilst my DH sleeps in the spare room.

DD is also fast asleep.

Long night ahead and can I just add, I'm still not 100%!! But I have to get the fuck on with it Bridget Mouse!

Night night gorgeous ladies xxx

my mate said 'whats a millenium falcon?' Shock Shock

night mousey x

oh mouse - for when you wake up, we gave mole 1/2 a lanzoprole this evening about 40 mins before her milk and she went down at 7 and hasn't stirred yet Shock So perhaps that's the secret? We give her a whole one in the morning and maybe its worn off by night time? Nurse suggested it this morning on the phone. x

SantaIsAnAnagramOfSatan · 25/11/2010 07:46

cool brian - maybe half in the morning, half in the afternoon and half at night will give her an even better cover? obviously not necessary if she's been fine in the afternoons.

just had a half hour show down with ds because i won't let him watch lord of the rings which he's spotted in my dvd's. it's a 13pg, i let him watch too much already and he's a right little war head.

someone kick my arse to call doctor's lately please, i know i'll accidentally forget

SantaIsAnAnagramOfSatan · 25/11/2010 07:46

Satan you pansy, call the doctors Grin And I concur with you, he's too young for lotr.

Anyone thinking of the new Disney Christmas Carol for their dc to watch - don't (dependent on age). It was very good but I thought it would be cute disney and it was scary disney. DD (5) was far too young for it.

News flash for Mouse. We gave her one whole tablet in the morning as usual, we then gave her a half at about 6.15 she then had lots of wind, anyway, we gave her milk at 6.45, she went to bed about 7.15 and...

.....

....wait for it....

SLEPT FOR 12 HOURS STRAIGHT. Shock Shock

We were actually both really scared this morning to go in because we hadn't heard her all night, but yay!!!!!

Worth a try mouse?

BrianAndHisBalls · 25/11/2010 08:10

And my journey to world domination has started. Put some stuff on ebay last night and it sold straight away. I buy toys through the year on half price deals then put them on in november. Means the house is covered in junk all year but am trying to make £500 this month. Get me Grin

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 25/11/2010 08:17
