Hello, tis me, Mouseface. Smile

Welcome to the LIGHTer threads. We are a part time healthy eating thread and on ocassion, we are the WHETE (Worst Healthy Eating Thread Ever)!!

Hopefully, we'll get back on track in the New Year but for now, most of us are trying not to put any more weight on.

I've managed to put over half a stone on in 5 weeks! Argh!

Come and join us for lots of chat, laughs and bloody good company. Smile

Morning, tis me, Mouseface.

I weighed myself this morning because I REALLY need to lose some weight before going to my parents at the weekend.

10stone on the button so I've already lost 4lb last week. Smile

Now to keep going in the right direction and stop eating just because I can IYSWIM. I'm not hungry, just picking.

Nemo is very, very weepy. Hardly any sleep, coughing and coughing all night again. I'm exhausted so have no idea how he feels Sad

I am at a loss as to how to soothe and help him other than Karvol in a steaming bowl on the log burner, Calpol, ibuprofen in between Calpol doses and lots of cuddles.

I've had to give him more Dioralyte as he's 'dry'. He's supposed to have 1000 mls of fluid a day and he's not getting anywhere near that due to the vomiting.

Anyway.

Just wanted to say that you guys keep me going on days like this. When DH is at work and I'm stuck here on my own with him and I'm utterly feeling useless.

So a HUGE thank you ladies Smile you are all fabulous company xxxx

think we're talking different things dubs - i was on about those awful skirt and blouse sets. blue hair and support shoes are the essential accessories Smile

i was kidding of course - had a moment of trying to do the healthy eating support thread routine. doesn't suit me Wink

bitter i hope you have a good day at work and are ok.

SantaIsAnAnagramOfSatan · 29/11/2010 10:06

morning mouse. big squeeze to you.

scary when the fluids aren't gong in, that's how we ended up in hospital once despite my best efforts of having him sip the rehydration stuff in small and regular enough sips to get it in but hopefully not have it come straight back out again. it was just coming out faster than i could get in.

it was exhausting and constant nursing and i only had to do it for a few days. can only imagine what it's like having to deal with it all the time with nemo Sad

BrianAndHisBalls · 29/11/2010 10:16

mousie angel Sad I don't think there is anything else you could be doing, you're doing everything you can.

I've just woken after an hour's sleep with mole on the sofa. She's a terror at night still so trying to catch up in day.

bitter - enjoy work

saf - i know what you mean, my gran has them, probably country casuals or something Grin

Mouseface · 29/11/2010 10:26

Thanks. Yep, DD ended up on a drip when she had a virus once due to dehydration. Scary when you just can't get it in them.

At least Nemo has his tube for me to keep pumping fluids into him!!

How was Mole last night Brian? How's the reflux and when are you going back to the doctors??

hello, taking a brief break from decluttering and sorting out the lost sock mountain.

sorry you and Nemo had a grim night. Is Nemo allowed any sort of decongestant?

Mouseface · 29/11/2010 11:05

Other than Children's Olbas oil or Karvol, nope.

Ah, the lost sock Mountain. We have one of those too. Our washer appears to have a particular liking for odd socks!

Are you off work today?

OP posts:
SantaIsAnAnagramOfSatan · 29/11/2010 11:15

no! it's just bitter screaming in delight that her parcel is finally finished Grin

A shop asked me to supply them in Stratford but I didn't fancy doing sale or return.

That reminds me, a magazine wants me to write them a piece on 'how i started crafting' Hmm Got to come up with 300 words. Will try Seamus Heaney style 'sew sew sew sew sewing...' Grin

Hammy - Nemo is Sn and is tube fed. He has never eaten so this is the norm for us Smile.

There is a load of waffle as to all his conditions on my Mouseface profile on here. If you want to have a peek?

How is DS2 now?? Any better or still pukey?

Brian - why are you telling BOF to sort pictures out? What did I miss and does it involve cock? Grin and [hopeful emoticon]
