Sorry Mole's good night was not repeated Brian, did she sleep in the end?

YouKnowStuffingisforLunch · 26/11/2010 06:46

Brace yourselves for a whinge!

I'm sad and tired and sad :(

I'm being snubbed majorly at work. The whole office went out for a meal last night, I wasn't invited. They tried to hide it from me. When they were talking about lifts to somewhere I asked if they were doing anything nice and got told they were just off out for a meal (implying the two of them). Later when someone else asked if I was coming there was lots of "oh, uh, UNO joined after the meal was arranged... It's a long way from her house... She wouldn't have come". I just said I wasn't invited and it was fine (been there three months now btw). Lovely lady said, "oh, couldn't you come anyway?". But I just changed the subject.

Got to go to work in a minute. Haven't slept a wink, have a stinking cold, and am miserable.

I'm not going to eat lunch with them today, going to go for a wander instead.

It's so fucking childish :(

Hate it. The job is mundane and simple. The people are bitchy and negative.

It could be a door to better things, but I cannot stand them.

Just needed to offload.

Sorry.

Xxx

SantaIsAnAnagramOfSatan · 26/11/2010 07:00

aw uno. i bet one organiser was a bitchy control freak who barred you as new. everyone else wouldn't have known or just been the go along with her goons.

it won't be about you and you shouldn't take it as 'everyone' didn't want you etc.

how uncomfortable and horrid though!

sorry you're not enjoying it.

morning mittz - you were up early. i'm ok thanks

YouKnowStuffingisforLunch · 26/11/2010 08:10

Thanks guys. I can guarantee ninety percent of the office wouldn't have known I wasn't invited, which leaves the ten percent. Also known as the four people in my department who actively kept it from me. Bastards.

I know they're very threatened by me. Anytime I question a system that's in place (looking for an explanation), they all tell me it's stupid and pointless and then a Couple of days later I an invariably called into the manager's office for them to "explain" to me why it's done like that and why I shouldn't take it upon myself to change it.

So someone is bitching about me big time.

I've also just found a load of data that I put in has been altered. None of them would know that I set up a calc sheet for myself and just copy the data over, so I have the originals to show what I put in. Someone had changed them :(

I cant go to my manager because as lovely as she is, she is a Luddite who would assume my calc sheet was in some way to blame.

If I hadn't spotted it I'd have been in deep shit.

I'm now having to triple check everything.

On the plus side I'm snowed in, so no work for me :)

:(

SantaIsAnAnagramOfSatan · 26/11/2010 08:21

what like deliberately sabotaging your work uno? that's messed up. wonder if there's anyway to trace who did it.

morning double. i had another early night too. minus 5 brrr!

YouKnowStuffingisforLunch · 26/11/2010 08:25

Yup, exactly that saf :(. It's seriously fucked up.

Unfortunately I wrote over it when I found it thinking "oh no I've screwed this up!". It was only when went to my calc sheet to see how I must have written the formula wrong that I realised the values on that sheet were all right.

Otherwise i would have been able to see the last person to save it.

SantaIsAnAnagramOfSatan · 26/11/2010 08:29

make sure you record all this stuff with dates and details uno even if you don't choose to report it at this point.

YouKnowStuffingisforLunch · 26/11/2010 08:33

I've decided to copy all the files I use from the server to my computer, that way if they change the file they have access to it won't be the one I'm actually using the data from iyswim.

I can copy my version over the other one at regular intervals and see if any more changes appear.

Sick of watching my back tbh.

Will do dubs :o

So nice not to be there today :o:o:o

Managers are all lovely, and the work would be fine, if a bit mundane, if I was locked in a closet alone somewhere :o

But I just don't get the bitchiness.

I really don't.

I've tried to be nice.

Something tells me that I don't have the local credentials and have a scary level of edjuceyshun.

I'm having poached eggs for breakfast. That'll cheer me up.

My god I've been a miserable sod lately.

Sorry Mole didn't have a good night, Brian.

SantaIsAnAnagramOfSatan · 26/11/2010 09:32

just woke up after falling asleep on sofa with mole at 8am Shock she was up till about 10.30/11 then up again at 1am then up for the day at 5am. So did not crack it.

Will keep with the medicine for a few days just to see if gets better, then will be back to drs.

mouse - good luck for all your appointments today, will be thinking of you. x

uno - that sounds terrible! The meal thing isnt too bad (although horrible to go through) as it will just be one person being a bitch not everyone, but the work thing is awful. As saf says make sure you keep notes of everything.

dubs you langer!

Ive got to tidy the house before 3pm when dd's friend comes for tea. Her face is even worse this morning from the fall Sad

Morning, tis me, Mouseface.

UNO! - what the other lovelies have said with knobs on and a huge mwah and your cheek (the one on her face Dubs) from me as not to spread germans. xx

Brian - sorry Mole had a shite night xx

Satan - WRAP UP!!!!

Dubs - I heart you Smilexx

Mittz - how's DS?

Mwah's to everyone else. Smile

I have 'germans' as DD used to call germs. Nemo has a shocking cough and we are off to the hospital in a while. I feel they may admit him when we book in with the nurse if he starts coughing due to his respirtory issues.....

So if I disappear, that's why. Been up all night with him sobbing/retching/coughing poor little mite.

Toast and coffee so far. And we've had snow.

Driver - 'are you sure?'

Me - looks at jelly belly and expanded middle 'er, YES!!!' NOT FOR ME!!'

Cheeky bugger!! Grin
