Well done MABS!

FauxVampire · 20/10/2005 18:12

I just had my first hour with my personal trainer and was amazed to enjoy learning to box. I suppose it's really boxercise, but hey. He seems very responsive to my needs...dh is jealous

MABS · 20/10/2005 18:25

My personal trainer is female ...damn ,damn!!

FauxVampire · 20/10/2005 21:36

Oh, mistake Might as well work your heart...

Cam · 20/10/2005 22:07

Oh Mabs, can't you change trainers? I've always thought no point paying for 1-to-1 unless its a tasty young man (what am I saying, scrub that...... on second thoughts ,no I'm right

Anyway Mabs with all that exercise, you looked about 25 last time I saw you, bet you look about 15 now,

I'm going to the gym tomorrow night, honest

I am missing the gym - never thought I'd say that !

Still feel yuk though, so will have to wait.

MrsMiggins · 21/10/2005 11:27

hooray!!
finally gone back to the gym - got a new card - had lost the old one & so gave me a good excuse not to go
mum had the kids for an hour while I went - going to do this every Friday morning now.
am deffo going to try to go 2 evenings as well even tho DH is away a lot - otherwise I just sit at home drinking wine & eating choc feeling miserable & lonely
maybe if I get a goddess figure (!) DH will try to come home more

MABS · 21/10/2005 14:06

the way i'm eating at the moment Cam, i'll be 25 stone before long.

For info, I had a male trainer initially , but he let me manipulate him and I got away with murder. Now my female one won't take any excuses from me!

Passionkiller · 21/10/2005 21:03

Drum roll perlease...dum di di dum dum dum da...

Have just come back from the gym and have upped my time on the X-trainer to 20 min from 10!!

I am so so so chuffed with myself at the mo, probably won't be able to move tommorrow though.

Have decided to make Fri evening a regular gym time so I can spend longer than my usual hour. Also to was lovely and quiet - everyone out on the razzle I guess.

Cam · 22/10/2005 15:36

Well done Passionkiller and Mrs Miggins!

Commiserations Puff.

Mabs LOL at manipulating the male trainer, that's the dominatrix in you coming out

I went swimming with dh last night, didn't have time to get in the actual gym as dh and I spent too much time talking in the cafe area first Anyway we were both v. tired (excuses....)

Mabs dp and I are thinking of joining The raquet club possibly December Do you go there? Is it any good.Used to go to the David Lloyd when i live din Wimbledon but the Brighton one is rubbish in comparison so am looking around for alternatives

MABS · 22/10/2005 16:25

Noddy - come up with me anytime, I can introduce you to the place. I seem to practically live there...and RnB's a member too. I have said previously to Dhw about coming up for lunch, and her ds can play in the soft play, but i never got my act together. We should sort it, let me know when suits. Love to see you both soon anyway x

puff · 22/10/2005 17:39

Wow, there's a mountain of calories being burned on here !

Think I'll go back to the gym tomorrow - I've stopped aching, just stuck with a cough.

Cam · 23/10/2005 11:17

Take it easy then Puff, you're going there to get fit remember, not wear yourself out

screwyslittlegoblins · 23/10/2005 20:18

Swimming thurs night and hapkido fri night

puff · 24/10/2005 14:27

Haven't been back yet - still feel lousy tbh, but I've lost some weight anyway this week, so it could be worse!

puff · 25/10/2005 13:26

haven't been to the gym for over a week - this darned cold is now a chest infection and sinusitis .

Now worried that when I get back in there (end of the week at earliest) I'll be back to square one.

Please tell me this won't be so?

Cam · 25/10/2005 20:02

Not so, Puff, your body will remember and you will be back to fitness v. quickly. Just take it easy the first session back. Hope your cold goes soon, I've had that one and it makes you feel rotten. Vitamin C and zinc.

puff · 25/10/2005 21:07

Phew - thanks Cam - I'm really missing going!

FauxVampire · 27/10/2005 00:19

Puff, that's how I felt when I had my cold - really frustrated. But it was easy to get going again, and I read a theory somewhere that you have to have a cold bug to get your immune system in gear for the winter, so you can resist all the rest of the bugs you'll encounter; or some such. Can you try a sauna for your sinuses when you're a bit better?

I did Aqua this AM followed by a nice massage (by male masseur, mmmm) and then my whole training programme, so am feeling v virtuous. (Have not, however, lost an ounce of weight )

Cam · 27/10/2005 10:30

Managed to fit in a gym 'n swim session yesterday early evening while dd was at a Halloween party!

Not been able to go much during half-term.

Interestingly about viruses is that if you work out too hard you can lower your immune system so being more susceptible to flu and colds. There's a balance.

pump Monday, Tues was gym , wed was gym and swim, today...went shoppin'!

screwyslittlegoblins · 27/10/2005 21:24

Haven't done anything since last friday I think and have just eaten a huge curry so feeling very guilty just very tired as kids have been ill this past week.

How you feeling puff?

screwyslittlegoblins · 27/10/2005 21:25

Mabs were do you get the energy to do gym and swim? Do you do just a light workout at the gym and a light swim or go full hog?

NomDePlume · 27/10/2005 21:29

I've not been able to go this week due to half term. I generally go when DD is at one of her daily 3 hour nursery sessions. Looking forward to getting back to be honest. God knows how my knees will cope on the treadmill after a week away !
