Well, I'm just here for the banter and a chance to talk bollox, and we also do weight loss, WATER drinking (I'm the 'ficcial water monitor, and I have a badge), and heart to hearts..

I am the Mittz(not Mitts), I need to lose about 10lb, but get my head straight in the process..

I am sure one of my lovely companions will be along shortly......

Oh Mittz, yes you must come for a visit! I am nearly brave enough.

Alice, she might have cracked it by D Day, save on nappies when the newbie arrives.

Mouseface · 31/07/2010 10:36

Morning, tis me, Mouseface.

Alice - 9 days to go!

Lizzy - well done on handing your notice in and eww for a peeling nose, why do you only peel where people can see?

Mittz - I hope the painting goes well and helps sooth your soul. I find drawing very soothing. I should do it more.

Wasting - morning, not captured by aliens last night then?

Bitter - do you have a washing mountain after your hols? And Lizzy? I always hate that after a nice holiday!

Sausage and egg bap for breakfast here. Yum. Then dust for the rest of the day as I try to put my house back together.

I need to get back on track re the healthy eating. That is one reason why we are here after all!!!

Only had 5 very weak drinks last night. The other thread is really helping to kick my ass and make me realise that I do need to cut down or/and stop.

Alicetheinvisible · 31/07/2010 10:36

Glad you sound optimistic on that Wasting! We have had days on and off for months when she has done this. I am just going along with it tbh, she is not one to be made to do anything.

Double - left over curry, yuk. Not for breakfast. Lunch, with an ice cold beer, yes.

SAF - enjoy your 'quiet' day.

FluffyCut · 31/07/2010 10:54

lizzy you angel!!!!! glad to see your back and excellent news re your resignation, you are now (sort of ) a lady of leisure. well on saturdays anyway

miitz - definitely try that book, i read it for a level eng lit and was captivated. its about a woman who goes into different universes, a dystopia and a utopia and its just fab . she did the haindmaiden's tale too. think you'd really like it. and double would deffo .

am off to ikea shortly, joy. actually i really like it and obviously feel the need to spend more cash as i didnt spend quite enough in costco

then to my parents so they can slag me off four an hour or two as per usual. always fun

wasting - i saw sherlock holmes a few weeks back i loved it, really thought it was good.

saf - cant be as old lady as me, i love midsomer murders/miss marple/poirot anything like that AND flog it/antiques roadshow/david dickinson!

wastingaway · 31/07/2010 11:07

Ikea as per.

No aliens, though DS did sleep in til 7.30, so he may have been replaced during the night.

Alice, I'm dreading potty-training. DS has a potty and I think he knows what it's for, but he doesn't tell me when he's weeing or anything.
Sometimes it's hard to be led by them, but I've been reading How Children Learn and trying to follow DS lead more. Apart from when it takes 40 mins to do a walk that should be no more than 20, even for a toddler.

Mittz · 31/07/2010 11:10

Oh bugger them Fluff... easy for me to say when my Dad reduced me to a bag of worthlessness last weekend but come one.. what kind of parent diminishes their child?, I mean how the fuck do you do that? Jeez, DS has taken me to places emotionally where I thought I would erupt but he is my child and we are beholden as parents to give our DC's the tools to reach and if wanted, exceed their potentials. Seriously, try to wear a shield. You are an amazing, sparky talented young woman and if they do not appreciate you, they are not worthy of you... xx

Bacon and Sausage cob has been consumed. Gorgeous. Someone else cooked it, no preparing or washing up.. heaven in a paper bag .

'your back' what is wrong with me/?? i am not secretly spying on you lizzy, i meant 'you're back' i appear to be losing more brain cells each day.

miitz when they came over on wednesday my dad called me stupid 4 times in an hour. even my mum finally said to him 'thats enough' thing is i dont think he means to be horrible, he thinks hes being jovial i think, possibly xx

right, if i dont get off my arse ikea will have shut at this rate. x

saf - they're strange, very helpful in terms of childcare etc, ridiculously generous with money and material goods, they can also be incredibly nice. However, they also do the nasty comments thing pretty much constantly. its a very weird dynamic.

i think they do know i havent been well recently but it wouldnt stop them. its such an ingrained pattern they dont even know they're doing it i dont think. my dad especially thinks hes joking (i hope, else all the 'fatty' comments are going to get even more upsetting ).

if im not back here by about 5pm ive killed them and am in jail

Mouseface · 31/07/2010 11:42

That's horrid that they make you feel like that but I get what you mean. Little jibes can really hurt.

SAF - seeded loaf, yum! MrMouse bakes fresh bread. I love the smell as it wafts through the house.

Mittz - I didn't cook my breakfast either, lush!!

Mouseface · 31/07/2010 11:46

'break' - doh.

What you up to today? I'm trying to put the house back together again. MrM is inthe kitchen trying to re-plumb the washer in......it could end up with a visit to A&E.

I'm still in my PJ's

Laundry Mountain is shrinking though - only another two loads to go.

Fluff, no advice I'm afraid. Maybe just ignore, and know that we think you are Fabulous.

Mouseface · 31/07/2010 12:24

Bitter - My washing pile will have to stay put until the washer is back in action

SAF - I'm never normally sober enoughmotivated on a Saturday but today, I want to get on!!!

The weather is shite here. Where the hell did summer go??

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 31/07/2010 12:28

Mouse, that would drive me mad. Shite weather here as well - I've had to put the tumble drier on.

I didn't say - well done you on cutting down the drinking. We drink waaay too much and have decreed that it's going to be dry in the Bitter house during the week from now on, so I'll keep you company if you like?

Bitter - yes please!!! Company would be grand.

Although, I'm not dry yet but I am getting there. Small steps. I plan to be dry in the week too.

Too much of a shock to my system to just stop IYSWIM.

How was everything? We've not had chance to catch up! DH do ok?

Mouseface · 31/07/2010 12:49

Double - I love that you 'may' have a bath!!!!
