What do we think of this?

Too bold print?

Too Boho?

This?

Can you see I'm clueless?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 13/07/2010 09:35

I like the peony dress on that link Bella. Just remember the more I spend on the dress, the less I can spend on the shoes!

bellavita · 13/07/2010 09:36

I love 1 & 2 Bitter, not keen on 3 and definitely not keen on 4.

OP posts:
BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 13/07/2010 09:37

I like 3, looking back not keen on 4, but like the colour.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 13/07/2010 09:40

I think the problem is I very rarely do formal. I don't want to go OTT and look like I'm at a cocktail party, but if I'm not careful I go towards the scruffy end of the spectrum.

Out of all of these, I still love that red bow dress the best. If it was in stock, my search would be over!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 13/07/2010 09:46

this?

I can find the red bow dress in an 8 or a 14 - do you think I could either pile on a couple of pounds or get amoebic dysentry by the end of next week?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 13/07/2010 09:52

I like 3, not sure where you are going but that is the one I like.

Hello I am Fanny, I too have almost a Bella to lose, well I did have put have lost about 20lbs so far.

I had my first day at the library yesterday and another full day tomorrow, and after a chat they would like me initially for 2 days a week to catch up on the backlog. It was fun and nice to get out and see people. Busy this week and next for B&B, so ironing to do today, my mother's books and DD has a friend for tea.

TrillianAstra · 13/07/2010 09:54

Hi Fanny! Your B&B sounds lovely. I need to think of a cunning plan so that I can come visit without letting on how I know you...

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 13/07/2010 09:56

Oh it's lovely Trills, I've been twice.

bellavita · 13/07/2010 09:56

Bitter what size do you need the red dress in? They have it on the John Lewis website - size 14?

OP posts:
bellavita · 13/07/2010 09:57

Arrghhh, cross-posts Bitter! I see you found it too.

OP posts:
BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 13/07/2010 09:57

Ideally a 12, but I could get away with a 10 with some uber-contol pants

bellavita · 13/07/2010 09:59

Glad you like your new job Fanny.

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 13/07/2010 10:03

Sorry to be a pedant but on the homepage of the B&B website it says the rooms are on-suite (en-suite) and that there are tea and coffe making facilities (coffee).

Library sounds lovely. Proper idyllic country B&B, local library, walking dogs, skipping through a field of wildflowers stuff.

bellavita · 13/07/2010 10:03

Do you have any Phase Eight stockists where you live Bitter? It just might be worth ringing them to see if they have a 12 on the shop floor.

OP posts:
BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 13/07/2010 10:10

Only Debenhams, and they don't stock that dress.

I don't exactly live in a high fashion are - plenty of primark and george though, and if you need a pound shop, come on down.

Bitter - i love the 'too boho' one. Very summery wedding. The others may be a bit restrictive if it is a hot day.

Have just gone back to look at the "too boho" one, I am coming round to the idea, kinda pretty and the best thing is you can wash it rather than having to take it to the dry cleaners which costs a fortune.

Some nice wedges and a clutch bag to go with it.

OP posts:
BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 13/07/2010 10:46

OOh, cross posts Bella - just came on to say I've got the BoHo dress .

Feels a bit more 'me' than the others, and it's cotton and machine washable.

What colour shoes? (sorry Bella, don't mean to monopolise your time)

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 13/07/2010 10:48

Also I think I need to get something totally the opposite from the red bow dress, or I would feel like it's second best to the one I actually want, IYSWIM.

Alicetheinvisible · 13/07/2010 10:48

It is lovely. Agree with Bella, wedges would look fab (more comfortable too)

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 13/07/2010 10:49

Ooh! I got the last one! That was lucky.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 13/07/2010 10:50

What colour though Alice? Green? Navy? Grey?
