When will labour start to make changes?

@cardibach Taken from the speech, this is what I objected to:

That is why over the weekend I instructed Treasury officials to provide an assessment of the state of our spending inheritance so that I can understand the scale of the challenge. And I will present this to Parliament before the summer recess

This is already public record, she already knows.

New Treasury analysis that I requested over the weekend shows that, had the UK economy grown at the average rate of other OECD economies this last 13 years, our economy would have been over £140 billion larger.
This could have brought in an additional £58 billion in tax revenues in the last year alone. That’s money that could have revitalised our schools, our hospitals, and other public services

She has used spurious figures, not equitable, to try to prove a point. This is not the way I wished for her to start. No different to the Tories. See BBC verify below.

She didn’t say what you and others said she said though. And looking at public figures isn’t quite the same as being able to ask for exactly the breakdown you want.

This.

Thanks. I hadn’t heard the speech and just assumed the poster was in good faith. Apparently I should stop doing that on posts critical of the new government.
Shame on you both @KnittedCardi and @LumiB

But she hasn't previously said it like this though has she. Did you hear her say this exactly in any if campaigning during the election? No. They knew how had it was before.

" I have repeatedly warned that whoever won the general election would inherit the worst set of circumstances since the Second World War."

I'm not making stuff up she is quoted on all the things I wrote including her saying she knows you don't need to be in power to know the state of the public finances etc.

But at no point has she intimated that this will necessitate tax increases, which is what you inferred.

As low as possible doesn’t mean not raising them though. A 10% rise could be as low as possible. Not saying it will be as much as that, just an example. But I expect they will use this to raise taxes.

I interpret differently.

No I never said she had and I was clear.in saying thay I predicted that once labour get in they will do the inevitable.omg.the finances are worsee than we thought which is as history has shown us led to taxes rises

And as I said in mu post so it begins by her coming out sharing exactly what I knew woukd happen

I could be proven wrong about the tax rises time will tell

But that isn't what she said. She actually said, "it's as bad as we thought it was" which is an entirely different thing.
