He’s such an odious man isn’t he

Just as well I turned over to watch the Beeb!

Miriam cates in Sheffield has lost. Be a sad night for the FWR crowd….

BBC are saying that the Conservatives have lost the election rather than Labour winning and it does seem so

Totally agree. The actual figures aren't that much higher than the last 2 elections. Reform has really split the vote!

That's obviously true but there are several Independent candidates standing on a pro-Palestinian platform, and that will be a predominately Muslim vote.

I had no independents, but if I had would have voted for that rather than what I was presented with and I'm as raging atheist as you get.

Pffffft. Labour lost in 2010, it is what happens to sitting governments.

Last time the narrative was Corbyn had won the argument Confused

The fact is there will be a new government. The electorate will see what they do. Then they will be judged on their record.

Not so, she has shocking views on abortion and mothers and educated women. Just because I agree with her on one issue doesn't mean I'm not glad to see her go.

Same here. And not surprised.

Mordaunt has gone.

Lilacapples · 05/07/2024 04:09

I’m not surprised. I didn’t vote Labour but it was pretty obvious they’d win by a landslide. I too am shocked at reform, I thought they’d get quite a few more seats. It’s all I hear where I live and on other SM platforms.

Yes, rethinking my initial response you're right. In my defence, I was only half way down my post waking up coffee.

Counts are slow tonight. Many who should have declared by now haven't.

Interesting to see that the Conservatives look to be exceeding the number of seats the exit poll expected. The LD and Labour are both slightly down on forecasts by the looks of it.

Anyway, back to sleep for me.
