Just that really.

Which party do you think needs to get enough seats be in opposition and hold a Labour government to account?

People want Labour with a LibDem Opposition? - Seriously?

Have we forgotten why women abandoned the LibDems last time round? Those reasons haven't changed. And voting for Labour this time round is a shot in the dark - especially on issues concerning cervix-havers.

Don't call woman cervix havers please. It's really offensive for us woman who have had to have our cervix removed.

Mnet Tories FWR are taking a trip down memory lane today.🙄 Have yis seen the threads about something Lammy said in 2021?

Has David Lammy apologised for what he said in 2021? Because it was incredibly misogynistic.

Have you decided how your casting your vote from abroad? I'm sure there were more than 3 candidates for you to chose from this time.

verdantverdure · 28/06/2024 19:25

Have we seen the amalgamated MRPs?

It's quite heartening. There are lots of Tory heartlands like Surrey Heath, South Cotswolds, Dorking, Farnham, Wokingham etc that look like they have a good chance of going Lib Dem.

If my ballot paper arrives on time I will be spoiling.

Very difficult. I think votes will be split and therefore diluted between Con and LibDem and also plenty will go to Reform and some to Green.

Overall it'll make the opposition to Labour very weak - which is going to be very dangerous for the whole country.

I accept the Tories have been clowns. And Labour are almost going to be elected by default, because people are cross with the Tories. I do not like Starmer at all. I don't trust him and he will have almost absolute power.

2 postal votes from my house have already gone to LibDem. I hope many more people vote LibDem.

I hope they do ok seats where they can win.

In seats where they can't win I hope votes go towards whoever can (who isn't a Tory)

Me too @verdantverdure.

On a related note I think it's great that after the Tories divided and destroyed the country that so many are coming together and voting tactically to get the Tories out.Grin

The Tories have changed their tune significantly about gender identity since 2019. The Lib Dems haven't.

No they haven’t. They just say they have so some gullible people will vote for them.

I don't think the Tories have a leg to stand on on any issue I can think of. No moral authority.

So it's better if it's the Lib Dem's in opposition.

I think the Lib Dems and Labour are more likely find common ground and work together on the issues facing our country.

Not sure about that. Ours looks fairly likely and she's the original chocolate teapot.

Our chocolate teapot is standing down, chances are the teapot made of salt running will replace him.

Hoping we return to a Labour MP but it's likely Tory or SNP across all the border constituencies.

Not a LD voter but I know plenty of women voting for them so I don't know what you're talking about.

I think it's going to be a scary time for my daughters, they are going to be young vulnerable girls at the wrong time.

All I can do is wait till its age appropriate and show them the handmaid's tale.

I haven’t forgotten, because I was unaware this was true. Is there any evidence for you saying this?

I'd also give her a lesson on how the 2020's GC transphobic cult members use the same language that the homophobes used in the past against the normalisation if gay people

Something something toilets, something something coming for your children, something something perverts

This is exactly what I’ve been saying, you’ve put it far better. Only on MN is this issue all encompassing, to the exclusion of all others.

The Tories have NOT been clowns. They've been dangerous corrupt money grabbers. Don't belittle the damage they've done by saying they're clowns. That's like saying Johnson was just an old buffoon.

So what's your answer then?

Vote for the people who are being completely open about how much contempt they have for women instead?
