Just that really.

Which party do you think needs to get enough seats be in opposition and hold a Labour government to account?

Absolutely not a given that the Tories will be the opposition. Thankfully. What ground would they have to challenge anything Labour do after the last few years?

I'd like to see LD in opposition. I think then we would have a chance of moving back to a less corrupt, more facts based style of government and debate.

Absolutely-this would be fabulous.

I hope the Conservatives are obliterated as a party next Thursday.

People want Labour with a LibDem Opposition? - Seriously?

Have we forgotten why women abandoned the LibDems last time round? Those reasons haven't changed. And voting for Labour this time round is a shot in the dark - especially on issues concerning cervix-havers.

I'm a woman. I'm voting for them next week.

Good for you. You will regret it.

That doesn't appear to be a link to them saying that @MissScarletInTheBallroom

Why? They're more welcoming of people who have been chucked out of the Greens for having links to paedophilia than they are of gender critical women.

Why did women "abandon the Lib Dems?

And when?

It's a link to a Mumsnetter telling us how they responded when she wrote to them asking if there was room for gender critical women in the party.

"Maybe we're not the party for you."

The Challenors, yes. Women who want single sex spaces, no.

Right-o.

MissScarletInTheBallroom · 28/06/2024 19:01

TooBigForMyBoots · 28/06/2024 19:00

Who are you talking about?

Google Aimee and David Challenor.

verdantverdure · 28/06/2024 19:01

Have you got a link for that @MissScarletInTheBallroom?

A factual one.

Are they Lib Dem candidates?

This is pathetic. Amazing really.

verdantverdure · 28/06/2024 19:05

I could link to Mumsnetters saying a lot of things @MissScarletInTheBallroom.

Facts are verifiable.

How are you defining "factual"?

Will a screenshot of their reply satisfy you?

TooBigForMyBoots · 28/06/2024 19:06

2019? Do you remember what the Tories were saying in 2019 @MissScarletInTheBallroom?

verdantverdure · 28/06/2024 19:06

I'll take that as a no then @ActivePeony.

Are they even in the Lib Dems?

OP posts:
ActivePeony · 28/06/2024 19:06

The Challenors were a massive safeguarding scandal for both the Greens and the Lib Dems. Read all about it and weep.

TooBigForMyBoots · 28/06/2024 19:06

The Tories have changed their tune significantly about gender identity since 2019. The Lib Dems haven't.

Have you heard of Google?

verdantverdure · 28/06/2024 19:09

^To be honest, @MissScarletInTheBallroom

You're going to need more than one source to back up your previous assertion that

"Lol.The Lib Dems are the ones who have told women who don't believe humans can change sex not to vote for them."^

TooBigForMyBoots · 28/06/2024 19:10

Mnet Tories FWR are taking a trip down memory lane today.🙄 Have yis seen the threads about something Lammy said in 2021?

verdantverdure · 28/06/2024 19:13

Ok, Well since those people are not Lib Dems and you can't back up your assertion that

"The Lib Dems are the ones who have told women who don't believe humans can change sex not to vote for them."

Then don't have anything further to add.

How many do you need?

Anyway, I'm clearly not going to change your mind.

You vote for the Lib Dems if you want to, but the idea that they are in any way sensible or moderate is, quite frankly, batshit.

And they clearly did zero due diligence on the Challenors. Or maybe they did and weren't bothered by it. The Lib Dem councillor for Wokingham, Prue Bray, has spent countless hours on Twitter telling women off for being unkind to convicted sex offenders by calling them "he".
