Just a little fourward planning . We are all looking forward to another thread of fabulous pictures. It can be a quiet time but I am sure some of us will have autumnal colours to share . The trees are starting to turn here . I have just picked an allium from my photo collection to start the thread off .
You are very welcome to finish or visit the old thread . I do not know how to do ... this is the old thread here thing .

Thinking of you all and the terrible conditions caused by the virus. I pray you and yours are healthy Flowers
It is very frustrating here as people refuse to acknowledge that covid19 is dangerous and they refuse to take any precautions

Very colourful @Sweetpea1532 . I love what you do .
The tree is a Nordmann.
There is less needle drop .

It is a rubbish time. Have a lovely Christmas !

Sweetpea1532 · 22/12/2020 04:50

@SantaPranki
Why ,Thank you! I just love lots of colour, too.
I've never heard of Nordman, but it sure would have been very handy to have that kind when my DC were small....I'd try to Hoover up all the dropped needles, but inevitably 4 months later one of my DC wouldn't have on shoes and would step on a dried out Christmas tree needle. Ouch!Xmas Shock
I hope you have a very lovely Christmas as well!

Sweetpea1532 · 23/12/2020 03:48

@applecatchers36
What a colourful tree and I like your craft ornaments as well. Did some sweet little hands make those for the tree? Is your tree a Nordmann, also?

Sweetpea1532 · 23/12/2020 03:50

Lol, my mum still lovingly displays my Father Christmas crafts from 60 years ago!

waltzingparrot · 23/12/2020 09:28

These all came out this week, 3 months after flowering should be done and dusted. Normally a vivid pink, but a rather delicate soft pink and green, with stripes.

Central south coast, so reasonably mild most the time.

@waltzingparrot

Sweetpea1532 · 24/12/2020 07:38

Your clematis looks very healthy and the leaves are so hardy looking...wouldn't it be great if we coyld carry your ask for flower photos for many more months!
My sweetpeas are getting ready to bloom...about 3 or 4 months early so I should have some photos soon

VenusClapTrap · 27/12/2020 09:24

Hello, I just found this thread. Lovely photos! Can I join you? My Hellebores are looking beautiful and my snowdrops are out. They are cheering me up after I had to dig up several box balls on Christmas Eve when I discovered they had blight.

applecatchers36 · 27/12/2020 14:19

Fantastic to see some proper winter blooms Venus makes you hopeful that spring bulbs will follow

Sweetpea1532 · 27/12/2020 20:26

Welcome, @VenusClapTrap
Thank you for sharing your hellebores and snow drops
I'm not familiar with either those so it is an extra special treat to see what is growing right now halfway round the world..
I'm sorry to hear about the blight...so disappointing...boy you are ever so dedicated to be digging up blighted box balls on Christmas eve....I've never heard of them either

Sweetpea1532 · 27/12/2020 20:32

I found a photo of the hand crafted Christmas tree ornaments that mum has saved for 60 years...it seems I envisioned Santa with luxurious eyelashesXmas Grin

How I celebrate the holidays in Calif..
I decided to adorn the agave cacti with bright Christmas balls . I really enjoy those bright blue fairy lights that everyone hates...I mixed in some white ones to honor a jewish family member for Hanukkah ....I like the way they contrast with the bright orange of my "Sticks on Fire" succulents

My neighbour's haven't run me out of town because of the brightness, yet...I guess they are kind of used to the eclectic tendencies expressed in my front garden...they never know what I'm going to come up with next...Xmas Grin
Lol, my DH has secretly held on to a letter we received from a "kind" neighbour after we'd been moved in for awhile...it was sent 10 years ago! The letter was informing us that whilst we may enjoy the way I'd designed our front garden, that actually it was quite tacky and didn't fit into the theme of the neighbourhood...my poor DH was so concerned that my feelings were going to be hurt that he kept the letter hidden in his Bible all those years. He was quite surprised last month when he showed it to me.... I just laughed and laughed because I worked out that it was written by a since moved neighbour whose front garden was full of cracked pavement, giant dead trees and metre high weeds ....yep, that's quite a theme to aspire toXmas Hmm
