Just a little fourward planning . We are all looking forward to another thread of fabulous pictures. It can be a quiet time but I am sure some of us will have autumnal colours to share . The trees are starting to turn here . I have just picked an allium from my photo collection to start the thread off .
You are very welcome to finish or visit the old thread . I do not know how to do ... this is the old thread here thing .

Due to ill health I completely changed my garden three years ago to a low maintenance. I love to see the daily changes once summer arrives.

Lovely colours @florentina1, no idea why they came out upside down but they were right way up the 2nd time!

So pretty @CarolinaWeeper.

I went to my local Aldi today and they had some bedding plants in which I was very excited about especially as for some reason the whole lot was down from €2.99 for a tray of 6 to just €0.99! They were brand new in and all healthy so no idea why so cheap. I bought 3 trays of Fuchsias and 1 tray of Hanging Geraniums. As usual as soon as I got home I regretted not buying more! 😆

Can I share my pansies with you? I grew them from seed in about November I think and some have just begun to flower.

Beautiful @AnneKipanki! I've never seen a pure white one like that 2nd picture.

Lovely @FeltTipPenny! Isn't it so rewarding to grow beautiful flowers from seed?

Sweetpea1532 · 30/03/2021 22:44

Glad to see everyone's colour are back!
@FeltTipPenny I am so envious
of your ability to grow pansies from seeds...Great job
@beautyisfoundwithin
Great find...I see that a bit of pesky snow is still on the ground 😳..maybe that's why the plants were on offer....no one was buying them because they didn't think they'd survive..but we know better, right?Flowers

FeltTipPenny · 31/03/2021 08:17

Haha @Sweetpea1532 , I literally threw seeds in a few pots and left them outside to fend for themselves! Thanks for the nice comments 😊
I struggle with bedding plants in the ground, something eats all the flowers and they look really messy. Any tips or do I just have to stick to pots?

AnneKipanki · 31/03/2021 09:12

Spray with neem oil @FeltTipPenny

Beautiful blossom... anyone know what this is?
Plus an osteospermum that I bought the other day.

Will try neem oil on the bedding plants.

Good thinking @Sweetpea1532! I hadn't thought that might be why the plants were so cheap. You're right, we do know better 😉 And yes, we still have snow, the whole back half of the garden is still covered. We're digging out a little bit more everyday trying to get it to melt more quickly but there's a lot to get through!

No tips from me I'm afraid @FeltTipPenny, I keep most of my bedding plants in pots as I struggle with them in the ground too. I'm no help on the blossom either sadly but it is beautiful. I love the contrast between the pale flowers and the dark branches.

Lovely cherry blossom @AnneKipanki.

Lovely @AnneKipanki

You are my kind of gardener...I love the purples and blues!

Ha! @FeltTipPenny....maybe that's the way to go then....I loving planted some forget-me-not seeds and have tenderly been watering them....I noticed yesterday that I think I've been taking care of some fab weeds instead! No sight of what I actually plantedHmm
But the weeds are thriving with all the care and attention Grin

Sweetpea1532 · 03/04/2021 05:05

@AnneKipanki
Look who's been at it again....you have to admire that determination and artistic ability 😂Hmm

AK, remember how I told you about the how the wild flowers turn to red after the bees have extracted the pollen? Look! It's started!
