Just a little fourward planning . We are all looking forward to another thread of fabulous pictures. It can be a quiet time but I am sure some of us will have autumnal colours to share . The trees are starting to turn here . I have just picked an allium from my photo collection to start the thread off .
You are very welcome to finish or visit the old thread . I do not know how to do ... this is the old thread here thing .

Absolutely gorgeous @Sweetpea1532! I can imagine how amazing the smell was when you got home. I love the decorative items you have in your garden too. Gives it real character!

Lovely collection of pots @florentina1.

Lovely to see those spring blooms you've got @applecatchers36. They really make you feel more cheerful don't they?

AnneKipanki · 24/03/2021 07:43

Lovely @florentina1 and @applecatchers36 . I have some daffodils out and pansies . It's a bit cooler where I am BUT not as cool as @beautyisfoundwithin's Place

Well, you lot have convinced me that I must give bulbs a try...such beautiful colours in your gardens and potsFlowersFlowersFlowers
I think I gave up on planting bulbs in my garden soil about 30 years ago when I read somewhere that if you want them to be successful for years to come in our warm climate then you must dig up the bulbs and store them in the fridge over winter...., ha! I wouldn't want to chance having DH deciding to try them for a snack after I'd gone to all that trouble. A mate of his owns a worm castings company and brought some to a meeting to show the gang...he made the mistake of telling them that it was very harmless to the environment and a natural fertiliser. He stuck out a handful and was horrified when DH took a pinch and ATE it...DH has form for trying nibbles of unusual items...such as dog biscuits, also!
I think he may have been dropped on his head as an infant....Grin

@beautyisfoundwithin

Heehee, thank you! I've had fun collecting items from boot and estate sales...never know what kooky things I'm going to find.
One of my favourites is the perfectly formed bronze statue of a real chicken.....until you get a look at her face..for some reason, I worked out that the sculptor was maleGrin

One drawback of having odd points of interest in my garden, though is that people tend to drop off oddities for me....like this one-eyed poople topiary form....haven't decided what I should fill him with😄

Oops, that should be "poodle" not poople...no wonder autocorrect wasn't happy with it!Grin

Would a pedant please, please correct my grammar...especially my over use of commas? I must have been absent from class that dayBlush

AnneKipanki · 25/03/2021 08:13

I love all your garden features. I would not bother about commas here .

Lovely pictures everyone 😊

The last couple of days I've been shovelling the snow off of a couple of the flowerbeds to give the spring bulbs a chance to grow. I'm amazed that I had Crocus that were just about to flower, only to have over a metre of snow dumped on them, now cheerfully flowering after I shovelled the snow away! I thought they'd be crushed for sure!

Your post has made my day! Those little guys are so hardy...I thought for sure they were gonersSmile

applecatchers36 · 28/03/2021 21:40

Gorgeous crocus and so hardy Beauty

beautyisfoundwithin · 28/03/2021 21:42

Thanks @Sweetpea1532! I'm glad you were rooting for them too!

I tried to take a picture to show the depth of the snow that's left around where I dug out, but it's always hard to capture these things in a photo!
