Just a little fourward planning . We are all looking forward to another thread of fabulous pictures. It can be a quiet time but I am sure some of us will have autumnal colours to share . The trees are starting to turn here . I have just picked an allium from my photo collection to start the thread off .
You are very welcome to finish or visit the old thread . I do not know how to do ... this is the old thread here thing .

Gorgeous crocus and Daffs so lovely to see the spring bulbs coming through!

Sweetpea1532 · 25/02/2021 15:25

@SnowCrocus
Those crocus are lovely..thanks for sharingSmile
I had no idea they came in different colours.

beautyisfoundwithin · 26/02/2021 10:41

Gorgeous Crocus and Daffodils, I too find it so cheerful to see spring flowers appearing 😊 Mine aren't out yet, most of them have popped up out of the ground but I've a while till they begin to flower I think.

And as always I seem to have lost a fair amount of spring bulbs to whatever naughty little creatures gobble them up from below ground 🙄

isadorapolly · 26/02/2021 11:16

Oh I’m loving this! I’m actually a florist and ha e my own shop and adore flowers but have no clue when it comes to gardening!

We have a really good size garden (about 3/4 acre that wraps around three sides of the house) and it is shameful! Especially for a florist. So 2021 is the year DH and I are going to sort out the garden so that we can enjoy it in the summer.

Sweetpea1532 · 26/02/2021 14:19

@Isadorapolly

Welcome! You and your DH will have lots of fun and this thread started by @AnneKipanki is going to be so helpful for ideas for your 3 sided garden...there are some very beautiful gardens on here and we all have varying levels of experience Flowers

IHateCoronavirus · 26/02/2021 14:55

Hello ladies,

It's been a while and a new username! I'm ashamed to say I've killed most my plants over winter and forgot to take the tubers in and cut back BlushBlush. I should be thrown out of this group and into a gardeners dungeon Sad

If anything survived I will send some picture. So far the roses seem like they're becoming greener

AnneKipanki · 27/02/2021 11:43

I would not say I was a very knowledgeable gardener. I just like taking photos 😂

@isadorapolly you can start a new thread asking for gardening advice in the gardening section. You can draw a map of your house and garden and give north , south , east , west directions .
Also note where shady bits are , full sun , partial shade etc .

@AnneKipanki
Don't you just love the beautiful TULIPS my daughter sent me?
I called to thank her for the UNUSUAL TULIPS.
She said, "Hummm, I'm glad you like them, but they were supposed to deliver LILIES"
It was then that the penny dropped as to why my mum and I couldn't get over the unusual TULIPS...because they were lilies!
I guess I'm like you, AK...not a very knowledgeable gardener .I just like to take photosGrin

@AnneKipanki

I'm still visiting my 90 year old mum in the southern US...
My DF died several years ago after over 6 decades of marriage.
Today I was cleaning out a long-forgotten corner of my DFs garden.I was very surprised to find this lovely batch of daffodils growing UNDER and through the branches of a dead azalea...I picked them all and was on the way to show the beautiful bouquet to my DM ...all of a sudden it occurred to me that my DF had planted the bulbs many years ago and they'd never bloomed because the azalea had been planted on top of them....as I reached my DM I stretched out my hand to give her the daffodils and said, " Here mum, these are for you front DF...he has sent you a bouquet "
..of course we both burst into tears at the thought of him planting the bulbs many years ago and not realising how much they would mean to us today 😭
I've been on the verge of tears just thinking about how that wonderful thing my DF did years ago had such an affect on us now. There were 48 daffodils in the bunch....one for each month that he's been gone
