nettles and lonicera I'm sorry to hear about your mils. It's a rubbish time for them to be very ill. I hope it doesn't affect their exams too much, but apply for special consideration anyway, it's worth having even if they don't need it. I had special consideration from the exam boards when I did my GCSEs as my Grandma died in the middle of the exams.
Fantasy your dd's school does indeed sound crap. My school would be bending over backwards to give her as much consideration as she needed. We seem to have loads of kids who get special arrangements like smaller rooms to do the exams, or rest breaks, or extra time, etc. Our exams officer works her socks off to make sure each child gets whatever they need (as long as there is evidence that it is necessary, which you have as doctors letters) to help them perform their best.
Raspberry I'm sorry your dd feels she hasn't done well on the history exam. I really hope she's done better than she thinks. It's crap when they are upset and there's nothing you can do to fix it. Is she distractible? Open to doing something to take her mind off it? Or does she need to be revising for the next one straight away?
Dd had maths M3 today. She says it went well, which is good. No exams tomorrow, but she's still going in because she's got a double physics lesson which she thinks will be useful.
