well my dh is back home tomorrow (just for the weekend), we are living apart at the mo on a 2 year posting, worst thing we have ever done and i have hit rock bottom about it this week.

dd's are still up and about (but they are on summer hols so i dont mind) we have just cleaned out the rabbit and dd1 (who "owns him) has just picked him up and thrown him over the slabs.

have a a talk about it and she knows i am cross but the little shit boy over the road was round today for a while and he had told her that this is what you do to make them happy

i cought him putting the rabbit down the slide a few weeks ago and gave him hell but he obv has not taken any notice of me, last time he will be over to play anyway.

i really hate my street just now, used to be nice but they have moved new familys in at my end and god knows where they found this lot from need to make more of an effort to go round to see friends on the other side of the patch. we used to have some lovely kids around here but they have moved on.

sorry for going on

we cant really move now, when dh first was posted we decided it would be better for me to stay as dd's were settled and in 2 years time we would have been coming back here anyway. plus i was half way through college and would have lost all my work. dh was going to be back every weekend.

seemed like a good idea but funny how things dont turn out that way, he only has 10 month left really sao would be pointless to uproot the kids (and give up my job) just to be back up here next summer.

Berryred · 10/07/2008 20:36

kerry big hugs! I've done just over 12 months by myself it's utter crud

SammyC · 10/07/2008 20:51

Kerry K - I too am living apart. I am on top of things most weeks then all of a sudden hit the miserable wall and get fed up doing it all on my own!.....

I have only 6 years til he ges out, not that I am counting!

Chin up xx

Dh is away more than he is home from early Feb when the team go traing to end of September when teh season finishes, this year they are then going on to Germany for 3 weeks, and then out to SA on a charity gig that they do every year.

THEN, he is going on a a welding course till Christams!!!

And this is DH's 16th year with the team!

Its tough I know, keep your chin up kerry and start counting down the remaining months love.

Will you have time off over the summer together? If so count down till then.

Then to Christmas, then till the end.

kerryk · 10/07/2008 21:07

thanks everyone, i am such a bundle of joy tonight

he is away for 2 weeks on sunday then we are going to france for 2 weeks, after that the new school term starts and the weeks will fly in.

usually i am fine, not a needy wife and dont bother if he is away for months but just had a crap few weeks.
