MONKFISH HOW TO.....COOK PLEASE

halo,,, please could someone tell me how to cook monkfish ,and how long for...am trying to give the family more fish ,,and had heard its nice so ...please help thank you ,,,

just to add ..i would like to cook it in the oven in foil is this ok?? as you can tell not cooked fish often

Oooh, monkfish is yummy. DS had it for dinner tonight with potatoes and cabbage.

I just panfried it with a little oil and lots of seasoning. I cut it into smaller pieces so i knew it was cooked and then just add a sauce of your choice. A tomato and mushroom sauce would be good.

DH serves it in the restaurant with rosti, sauteed spinach and a cannellini emulsion!

Fry it in a pan and finish off in the oven.

Jamie Oliver has a nice monkfish recipe, hang on, I'll see if I can find it.

Wrap it in Pancetta or Streaky Bacon and roast in the oven - delicious!!!

OH I love monkfish. Yes, I suppose it does have a king prawny texture. Love them too.
