£90 a week would feed three adults and a 7mo extremely well.

We (dd and me) live off £107 week for everything (as in everything) and manage to eat a healthy balanced diet, with no processed cheap shite full of salt and fillers.

Is this one of those Mumsnet windups? I do wish they'd be a bit more subtle.

Get the animals re homed. So how many are your feeding You,baby and your dad ?
There are lots of nice meals you can cook cheaply without having to give them chicken nuggets. You can make your own chicken nuggets with chicken breast.

I could feed four adults and a child plus the animals really well on £90 per week, without giving any processed food. At nine months your son need lunch, not just milk. My daughter has 5oz of formula, cereal with full fat milk and a quarter to half a slice of toast for breakfast. For lunch she has a cream cheese sarnie in brown bread or some sticks of cheese, carrot or cucumber sticks and some fruit either fresh grapes strawberries, satsumas or tinned pineapple and peaches in juice. For tea she gets pasta with a sauce made from tinned toms and veg, tuna and pasta bake, mash, veg and fish or chicken or beef stew, stuff like that, followed by a youghurt and fruit, with a couple of fruit or veg snacks in between. I always have bread sticks and such handy in case she gets peckish, processed food is always more expensive than fresh and less filling.

I would have a look at some meal planning threads for ideas on healthy meals, your child is worth an hours prep and cooking per day.

Hmmm.
Not sure, would someone who can't spell "carrot" be able to spell "doesn't", I wonder?

But anyway, whatever, I don't think it's that shocking.

is a bit strange that the animal feed/bedding seems higher on list of priorities than the 7 month old baby's food.

I dont think its a wind up - just someone who genuinely doesnt realise how cheap/easy it is to cook homecooked food - much much cheaper than processed.

Doesn't probably comes up on predictive text where as carrot doesn't!

the odd bit of processedfood is unlikely to do your baby harm, but constant food like that is damagingto health.

cook veg sticks, potatoes, pasta (ds loves penne pasta he can put his finger through ) non-processed meat, beans, lentils indishes.

all cheap and cheerful, take more preparation but worth it!

well if no wind up then am sorry for being suspicious, but sausages, chips and chicken nuggets are NOT recommended foods for a 7 month old! All are far too salty/processed. Fruit and veg all the way, much cheaper and healthier.....

Smells a bit 'Fishy' to me!! How about you just eat the baby!! Problem solved!!

I hear babies are low in fat and salt and go down a treat with a little guinea pig on the side!!
