Gusto boxes

Just started the gusto boxes. Would anyone like to swap recipe choices? / hints?

I’m cooking the prawn farfalle today - about to serve it for lunch but baffled the online recipe and physical recipe card don’t match. One says rocket one says pea shoots - I assume that’s a sub but weird that it’s the physical version that’s correct!

Has anyone else made this one? Or have any tips on choosing gusto meals?

With a teen I would suggest getting a 4 people box and use leftovers for lunches etc. It also works out better value to get the 4 person boxes.

I have a code you can use to get 60% off your first box and then 30% off any other boxes ordered in your first month. cook.gousto.co.uk/raf?promo_code=NICOL274409&utm_source=iosapp
You won’t regret trying Gousto! Smile

Thanks for the code @pinkchampagne1.

I'm giving HelloFresh a go next week as they claim to cope with 3 portions and I get 50% off plus some Quidco money off.

I think I'll try Gousto next month when it is just the two of us raiding the fridge for lunch.

For the time being if it encourages my 14 year old teen to cook/compare prices I'm happy to give meal kits a try.

I would have lived these as a student!

We alternate between Gousto and Hello Fresh depending on which menu we prefer. We have HF coming next week snd Gousto the week after.
The code should give you the same discount next month or whenever you fancy trying it.
The thing I like with Gousto is that you can pause your subscription so you don’t have to remember to keep going online to skip if you don’t want a box each week.
We have just had the satay chicken skewers from Gousto. They were really tasty!

Thoroughly enjoyed working through this thread following the arrival of my first Gousto box today. Had cheesy barbecue chicken, chips and salad for tea and really enjoyed it. I’m not a great cook as I lack confidence so this worked really well for me. Just wish there were more weekly discount counts once you’re an existing customer but think it’ll be worth it regardless.

This is my discount code - 60% off for the first order and then 30% off for the next three. Works out a bargain for the first week if nothing else - £14 for four days of tea all organised for me 😂

Skeletonskins, they do occasionally email you discount codes. Sometimes I have put some meals in basket and then decided to leave it. By the following morning I had been sent a 20% off code! Grin

I am pleased you enjoyed your first meal. We love a Gousto delivery and have recreated many of the recipes, sometimes we have made them for dinner guests.

Thinking of trying Gusto. There are 3 of us, 2 adults and 10 year old with good appetite. Would a 2 box be enough or would we need a 4 box- I think that might be too much?

We're using Hello Fresh ATM (week 2), primarily because they offer 3 portion meals. I don't imagine the offering is that different.

If you are the sort of person that always has peppers/lettuce/green veg/tomatoes and spuds in the house you could easily bulk up a 2 person meal to serve 3.

pinkchampagne1 · 04/09/2021 09:41

cheesenpickle ,a 2 person box could possibly be bulked out a bit to feed 3 people. Alternately you could order a 4 person box and keep some back for lunch the next day (the 4 person box works out better value)

We love Gousto. It has really changed the way we eat. We had got stuck in a rut of having the same old meals each week but now we are trying so many different recipes.

If you fancy trying it, feel free to use my code to get 60% off your first box and 30% off any boxes ordered in your first month.
