banana sandwich - has to be brown bread

lilacclaire · 01/11/2007 08:36

A supernoodle sandwich, got to be white bread with butter, folded over not cut so the noodles don't fall out as much. Heaven!

bamamama · 01/11/2007 08:40

halloumi cheese with lime pickle on an oat cake (in fact lime pickle in almost anything).

I did once eat a mashed potato pie with chips. I was pregnant. It was yum.

Katiekin · 01/11/2007 13:44

butterballs
butter and sugar thoroughly mixed up.
Medicinal for a sore throat you understand
Even nicer with a tiny bit of coffee added.

Kewcumber · 01/11/2007 13:45

Two digestive biscuits, sandwiched together with butter.

colditz · 01/11/2007 14:06

Fray Bentos pie and chips.

I eat it, and what is more I serve it to my children. And they will eat anything if it is served with a Fray Bentos pie.

shrooms · 01/11/2007 14:06

Or hobnobs sandwiched with Peanut butter/ almond butter... mmmm. Arrrrrg.

McDreamy · 01/11/2007 14:07

FIsh finger sandwiches

sunflowervalley · 01/11/2007 14:08

Oh forgot about Fray Bentos Pie,used to love that.

colditz · 01/11/2007 14:13

I like to tip them upside down, pick off the (sparse) meat, and then eat the horribly soggy pastry.

when I was 15, and really gluttonous (and annoyingly 4 stone lighter and LOSING!) I would sandwich the soggy Fray Bentos pastry between 2 rounds of buttered white bread!

I don't do that now - though it's not because I don't want to.

mawbroon · 01/11/2007 14:21

Haggis toasties

SeaShells · 01/11/2007 14:26

BBQ beef supernoodles and Pasta n sauce

Eggy bread (french toast) with loads of tomato sauce

sunflowervalley · 01/11/2007 16:03

I used to like my fray bentos pie with loads of mash potato and mushy peas.

Must add fray bentos pie to shopping list this week.

harpsichordsgoingbangandwoosh · 01/11/2007 16:05

currently Ainsley Harriott@s cup a soup
french onion or pea and ham

SqueakyBroomstickBrushes · 01/11/2007 16:06

another vote for hot buttered crumpets - v good just swimming in butter, or with a layer of marmite and then cheese, then stick them under the grill till gooey

also supernoodles, which i haven't had in ages, but it has to be mild curry flavour

Baileys in hot chocolate, or just Baileys generally (have just polished off 2 bottles of duty free in a week)

slices of rolled up ham and cheese straight from the fridge(or a squeaky special as we call it in this house)

ski yoghurts frozen at home, like they tell you not to, they taste much better that way

goingfriggincrazy · 01/11/2007 16:13

Beans on toast with marmite spread on toast and grated cheese on top
Chips, gravy, mushy peas and lashings of brown sauce
Pasta riddled with butter and heaps of grated cheese-regular fav in our house.
Brains faggots
Eggy bread
Salt and vinegar crisp sandwiches

Squiffy · 01/11/2007 16:36

slightly off on a tangent... whe he was a teenager, my mum once told my brother that the bouquet garni she used was a teabag.

For years and years he put a teabag in his stews whilst me & my mum POSL. It all came out once when we were at his house for dinner and we both had tears running down our faces as he dished up the coq-au-vin...

SpawnChorus · 01/11/2007 17:01

Plain chocolate digestive biscuit topped with a layer of (preferably giant) chocolate buttons.

Fishfinger sandwiches in cheap white bread with salad cream and lettuce.

Chicken flavour supernoodles.

Mymeems · 01/11/2007 17:09

Mars bar toasted sandwich
Strawberry yoghurt eaten with the finger of a kitkat (no spoon)
Salt and Vinegar square crisps and diary milk bar eaten at the same time

And I thought I was alone with my peculiar dietary habits!

nannyL · 01/11/2007 17:33
