currantbunmum · 30/10/2007 19:43

Frosties with hot chocolate on instead of milk, crisps and white bread sandwiches, sweetcorn and peas with salt and vinegar, hoi sin sauce on a spoon straight from the jar

EmsMum · 30/10/2007 20:01

I would love a Fray Bentos steak and kidney pie. With either baked beans or mushy peas. But thats not a food crime, thats a DH-is-away dinner.

Slubberdegullion · 30/10/2007 20:11

I made some disney princess cupcakes out of a packet mix yesterday.

I'm sorry.

The dd's made me do it. After a sustained and multi pronged attack in Sainsbury's I relented and bought them. I don't know what I was doing.

In my defence they were deeply horrid.

shrooms · 31/10/2007 00:38

Peanut butter and marmite OR jam on ryvitas.

Almond butter and banana bread

Kettle chips and hummus sandwiches (brown bread though, my dears...)

Garlic paste on toast

yes... sweetcorn from the tin, we've all been there.

Frozen peas, still frozen.

pasta with nothing but olive oil

ANY type of bean or pulse, straight from the can.

OMGhelp · 31/10/2007 00:51

Condensed milk sandwich (got that one from my Mum)
Or even 'diet down the pan', spooning it straight out of the tin.

Sardines in tomato sauce on toast with grilled cheese.

ripped up bread soaked in hot milk with surgar sprinkled on top. (Dads fault)

ripped up bread, soaked in boiling water with a stock cube crumbled into it and a dash of milk. (Dads fault)

chip, fishfinger and mashed garden pea sandwich.

OMGhelp · 31/10/2007 00:52

Fried egg and chilli sauce sandwich.

OMGhelp · 31/10/2007 00:53

Getting into the swing of this one. Is this a crime?

Christmas cake and Wensldale cheese, in the same mouthful!

Greensleeves · 31/10/2007 00:55
Slubberdegullion · 31/10/2007 08:27

I knew it was a mistake posting that.
I'll never ever buy them again, the punishment of eating them was enough to ensure that.

EmsMum · 31/10/2007 12:30

xmas cake and wensleydale cheese are SUPPOSED to go together. Thats not a crime, thats definitely regional cuisine.

Disney princess cakes though... thats in a different league. Most of the other things listed are our own concoctions (or our Dads), and usually taste darned good. 'Character' cake mixes are deliberately and cynically designed and manufactured. Can you imagine that being your life's work... product designer for disney cake mix.

dooley1 · 31/10/2007 12:45

galaxy and sour cream and chive pringles - eaten togther ie a mouthful of one and then a mouthful of another

Pork pies... yum

And I eat anything with cranberry sauce not just turkey - like chicken and mushroom pie with cranberry sauce etc

dooley1 · 31/10/2007 12:46

me and ds made up Noddy and Fifi packet cupcake mixes for dd's birthday - oh my god they were so vile, the fifi one had a really strong sickly vanilla flavour and the Noddy icing was lurid and strong and sickly... eek

anightmareonMegletstreet · 31/10/2007 13:33

cheese, tomato and salt 'n' vinegar sandwiches. Best with s'n'v chipsticks. mmmmmmm

captainmummy · 31/10/2007 17:43

Vanilla Ice cream and salted peanuts - the salt makes the ice cream melt just that bit and it's salty and sweet!

booboo1 · 31/10/2007 18:40

beef paste & walkers cheese & onion crisps on white bread

goingfor3 · 31/10/2007 18:55

Mattessons Smoked Pork Sausage, I love it at the moment and cold chicken biriani sandwiches.

ivykaty44 · 31/10/2007 19:53

toffee stuff you can buy in a jar - that with a digestive biccy or two and some banana (just to add some healthy eating to the bowl) yummy

Or garlic mushrooms and colcanon

blackberry and apple crumble cold with cream for breakfast is my fav

Bloodkin · 31/10/2007 20:09

Ah, some top recipes here - i am frantically scribbling them down...

VERY excited about the peanuts and vanilla ice cream - that is right up my street

May I tempt anyone with a digestive biscuit, smothered in Philly and topped with lemoncurd (lazybones cheesecake)

Or perhaps Heinz tomato soup with a boiled egg floating in it?

Tonight, I am mostly eating a packet of cheap custard creams.

PumpkinFang · 31/10/2007 20:18
