Mumsnet Village Show - An Afternoon Tea Tray for One

So here we are again.

So far the rules are:

Tea tray for one

Can include anything you want suitable for a summer high tea (sandwiches, scones, cake, biscuits etc) with suitable cutlery and crockery and the like. (Silver service if you are terribly posh)

Five quid budget (on top of what you already have in your larder).

SlightlyMadScientist is the judge (heaven help us...is she properly qualified???)

Oh and all entries will be anonymous this time (A, B, C etc).

Time limit is 9pm next sunday so we can be judged before bed time.

The rules will obviously be bent or completely ignored but so long as its tea ish then anything goes.

Persoanlly I don't mind so much about anonymity either. Anyway you've all seen shots of my kitchen/garden/table/roof now.

I will have to photograph my tray in the bathroom.

Tecccchhhhhhhhh.....

MrsFish · 27/06/2007 14:21

My underwear is in between sensible and pretty, don't look good in any of my thongs anymore still holding onto them for memories sake though Also the maternity underwear I am now being forced to wear is serviceable more than anything else

MrsFish · 27/06/2007 14:22

Thanks Slubber

Slubberdegullion · 27/06/2007 14:22

LL, very nice. Wrong sort of male with your pants in his mouth I fear!!

I still have my honey moon undies (in another shoe box). I get them out and put them on if I want to feel really depressed.

Oh my goodness, my tits used to fit in here.

And my lady garden was nicely tamed behind this

And I actually loved my husband enough to go to the exertion of putting this contraption on.

Ha Ha those were the days.

worth a try...

Just pleaded with the great god of Techenham to give us a "bold sentance" function

SlightlyMadShorthair · 27/06/2007 14:29

Can I remind you that the judge is female so flirtacious talking aboout sexy underwear is not exactly going to win me over in the same way as it might a male judge...

SlightlyMadShorthair · 27/06/2007 14:33

I am currently considering my name change....

I can do a chicken out of a teatowel - I assume it is the same...

What do you think of my judging categories?

SlightlyMadShorthair · 27/06/2007 14:34

Look - this is avillage show contest not a spelling test....

LL I think you need to vote in favour of anonymity cos you ain't pleasing me too much at the moment

MrsFish · 27/06/2007 14:34

Can we have traditional/contemporary teaware please

SlightlyMadShorthair · 27/06/2007 14:36

I guess I was thinking it would be 'proper entry' 'comedy entry' so yes.

MrsFish · 27/06/2007 14:40

But I don't want to do the comedy entry... but I have don't have fancy cups saucers teapot etc, just plain ones IYSWIM

SlightlyMadShorthair · 27/06/2007 14:45

Do you want a third category then? Or do you want to be with the traditionals?

Is anyone makeing rosettes/certificates. How many will they make?

I will judge as many categories as necessary (within reaosn) so I am not fussed.

MrsFish · 27/06/2007 14:51

I don't mind being with the traditionals as long as I'm not penalised for not having Aunty Mables antique teaset
