Who wants to enter here please. This will be fab. Now we have to find some judges. I think we should put thread in chat and ask someone to judge based on their credentials Obviously they will be only looking at a pic not tasting. We need rules as well??? Good idea or not.

I'm off to bed as well. DD is in her class play tomorrow morning where she will be a tree and a pumpkin... hopefully at different times!

I'll be dreaming of that rosette! Good luck everyone!

Pennies - it did have a certain architectural icon look to it - in fact it reminded me somewhat of the donut bulding

ChippyMinton · 17/06/2007 23:00

impressive mommy. My 'illegal' is an 8884 but i'm not sure about my oven temperature - i found the proe dangling out of its clips this morning. May have been 'tampered with' . FWIW i think you are up with the leaders.

soapbox · 17/06/2007 23:02

LL - if it were a DWC (door wedge cake) then yours would have been a sure contender

tigi · 17/06/2007 23:02

my new tins are the sort that the bottom pushes out on, but I don't think they are as good at the ones with the twist round slice thing on the side. Had to throw them out, they had gone distorted (think after dh tried to make me a birthday cake once with kids!).

soapbox · 17/06/2007 23:04

Tigi's yours was the Eton Mess of VSC's - messy but ooooohhhhh so tasty

it was for a lady at work who was 50, and is mad on anything pink! I admit it was a little OTT! She has a pic of it on her desk. We also bought her pink flip flops, folders, pens etc.
Thank you for your kind comments...I feel a little better no.

tigi · 17/06/2007 23:10

I really need to go to bed now as knackered! Will dream of cake! Will tune in again am.

kickassangel · 17/06/2007 23:35

note to judge - will there be any differentiation between the different mixes used? i used 2 eggs, some fo these used 4. understandably mine looks a little smaller!

wail - it's not fair & now dh is making me go to bed !!

UCM they're all lovely! You've done a fab job in making all of them. Hope your DH didn't object too much to the extra time taken out of 'his' day!

Has the judging happened yet, or is it at some point later today?

Pennies · 18/06/2007 07:55

This was the first thing that came into my head this morning. I know I'm not a contender (though I maybe in for a DWC - thanks soapy for that suggestion - prize) but am sooo desperate to hear the results!

ChippyMinton · 18/06/2007 07:58

Slubberdegullion · 18/06/2007 08:46

Why aren't I in the final line up eh??? My VSC stricktly regulation, no poncey allotment jam or heavy handed baking powder addition here.

Anyway, you're not even the judge, you're just some bitter bakely-inept woman in the marquee, pointing and critisising when deep down you're just insanely jelous.

Slubberdegullion · 18/06/2007 08:46

And there are no penalties for poor spelling either before you say anything.
