Yum yum, I think I will be trying this recipe tomorrow along with a VSC

petunia · 17/06/2007 21:06

I have to "hide" some of it in the freezer in the garage otherwise DDs would scoff the lot in no time!

sounds good!

MarsLady · 17/06/2007 22:58

Because Slubberdegullion it would be unfair on the others. Obviously my LDC would win win win and win again. It's good to let the "little people" have a go!

MrsFish · 18/06/2007 16:50

I've just made it, smells glorious, can't wait to taste it

MarsLady · 18/06/2007 16:52

Don't do it MrsFish! Once you've tasted it it'll all be gone.

Mark my words!

Tommy · 18/06/2007 16:53

I really must get on make one of these....

MrsFish · 18/06/2007 16:58

MarsLady - the quantities made two cakes, one in a loaf tin, one in a square tin, I am going to freeze most of it as soon as it cools down so I won't be tempted

MarsLady · 18/06/2007 17:10

Whatever you do.......... freeze before you taste the rest! Trust me!

suedonim · 18/06/2007 17:30

I made this yesterday, for the second time, for a meeting I hosted this morning. My guests ate the whole blummin' plateful, burbling through crumb encrusted lips about how delicious it was.

MarsLady · 18/06/2007 17:31

See!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You should've made 2!!!!!!!!!! lol

Now... do I make another ldc or a chocolate cake tonight?

MrsFish · 18/06/2007 17:34

Chocolate cake go on, you know you want too. Get that Nutella open ;)

suedonim · 18/06/2007 17:39

I did. It's in the fridge. Along with the choc brownies.

MrsFish · 18/06/2007 17:44

Mmmmmmmmm just had a big wedge of LD cake, yum yum, sponge lovely and light, could have done with a bit more lemon drizzled inside though, will rectify that next time I make it

ggglimpopo · 18/06/2007 17:58

Marsy - odile is getting panicky as she hasn't had the papers yet? Did you ask the other school (the church one) as Sarah has said she is more than happy to go there?

MarsLady · 18/06/2007 17:59

Still waiting! The wheels grind slowly. Will re-send papers!

ggglimpopo · 18/06/2007 18:00

Did yo uask other school and are waiting for arepsone?

MarsLady · 18/06/2007 18:08

ggglimpopo · 18/06/2007 18:09

MarsLady · 18/06/2007 18:44

I've just had the same conversation with my friend (where they stayed). All I can do is wait and chase. Sigh.............

bisou bisou!!!!!!!!!!!!!

smoggie · 21/06/2007 13:32

Wish me luck - I'm not a 'baker' (cook lots but don't bake much). I'm about to attempt this as a practice session for baking some for the school fete on Sat.
Will let you know how I get on!

MrsFish · 21/06/2007 20:34

Just one tip, if you like really lemony cake, add more juice to the cake than it says in the recipe, I found I could have done with adding a lot more
