Perhaps is has changed. When my sister first moved to London the thing she missed most was being able to get chips and curry sauce from a chip shop (or maybe it was chips and gravy?)

FrannytheGazelle · 16/05/2006 12:39

Yes chips and cheese

Those awful packet pasta things, the cheesy one

Wotsits Blush

mine seem quite cheese related?

Hmm, maybe I have a deficiency and should eat more cheese :)

MissChief · 16/05/2006 12:42

just been to fridge on cheese hunt and cat's just bloody well got there before me! (well, not actually put paws inside fridge) but was still out after I made ds's lunch and now reduced to pile of crumbs on the floor..cat's in trouble..

bundle · 16/05/2006 12:42

marmite rice cakes
corned beef
roll mops
white toast with philly and marmite (bit of a marmite theme developing..)
maltloaf or soreen doreen as it's known in our house but without butter

nailpolish · 16/05/2006 12:43

FrannytheGazelle · 16/05/2006 12:44

No no NP I am positive they contain much cheesy goodness

bursting with calcium I expect

Can't remember when I last had a packet but they are bloody lovely Envy

nailpolish · 16/05/2006 12:45

i like wotsits too but i dont like the coating they give my teeth for the rest of the day

prefer quavers

OP posts:
MissChief · 16/05/2006 12:45

hmm, I wonder, esp as chicken flavoured crisps apparently get their flavour from a fish-derived ingredient (along with god knows what else except for chicken!)

harpsichordcarrier · 16/05/2006 12:45

super noodles/any packet noodles
Angel Delight, not butterscotch though (boke)
Irn Bru
Dandelion and Burdock
Findus Crispy Pancakes Blush

FrannytheGazelle · 16/05/2006 12:51

Smash - as in the stuff from the tin, not real live mashed potato.

:)

Clary · 16/05/2006 13:49

I really really really like those Jacobs esentials crackers with pumpkin seeds spread with slightly salted butter....
I buy a packet, eat the lot and then pretend (to myself) that I had to share them with the kids (who also love them).
Mind you they are called "Essentials" so it must be OK, right?
lol at this thread especially Franny and NP on the cheese tip.

ssd · 16/05/2006 14:01

beef and tomato pot noodles (but haven't had one in yrs)

marmite

breadsticks

Tutter · 16/05/2006 17:28

it's chips and gravy they don't do down here (i.e. the south) - here i have to make do with chips and curry sauce. not the same, but not bad.

i was in the restaurant one day at work verrrry hung over and had cheese omelette and chips, and ladled the whole lot with gravy. yum the bloke behind me looked astonished so i just said "it's ok i'm a northerner"...

stripeybumpsmum · 16/05/2006 17:29

Dandelion and Burdock - oh yes

In fact any nasty pop - cherryade etc. Hide it at the bottom of the rack and put the expensive wine bottles in front of it Blush

Whilst pg, was advised to drink full fact coke for hyperemisis (it did work) and now have penchant for coke and milk mixed together. It is a kind of cocktail, right? Just not very grown up.

Oh I forgot, can I also add:

Iced Party Rings and Jammy Dodgers. The more sickly the better.

Liquirice (I think it is a marmite thing, you love it or hate it). Especially the ones with the E-number ridden stuff in the middle.

trice · 16/05/2006 17:55

smash

MrsDoolittle · 16/05/2006 17:59

What are those marshmallowy gooey teacakes? Can't remember the name of them now - damn

Tutter · 16/05/2006 18:01

ooh yes, sbm, that reminds me - iced gems

MrsDoolittle · 16/05/2006 18:02
