Rach69, I have some salmon fillets for tonight so will try that. I don't have any soya sauce so will substitute with teriyaki sauce and hopefully the results will be just as good.

dh cooked monkfish with sundried tomato/olivey goo, wrapped in prosciutto for us on saturday night..says he's going to do fishy (and other) meals as regular thing (I normally do all the cooking)

oliveoil · 11/05/2006 10:41

have you tried my spicy cod with chickpeas yet?????

suzywong · 11/05/2006 10:42

you don't have to fry the halibut, cod. It would still be nice

JackieNo · 11/05/2006 10:42

Griddling's great - but seems to create loads of smoke (at least, it does when DH does it!). Think the advice is normally to grease the food rather than the pan, but hope you've got a good extractor fan.

cod · 11/05/2006 12:18

sardines were scrumptious - and so cheap!!
am really proud as I bought whole ones and gutted and them myself and everything - a real step forward!!
stuffed with tomatoes, onion, fennel, garlic, breadcrumbs, lemon juice, sprinkled with pine nuts and bunged in the oven for 10 minutes....delish :o

OK finally bought some fish - I did OO's cod with spicy chickpeas (but used hake). Thought the chickpea bit was a bit bland so added more chilli, garlic and a dab of harissa paste. Felt it needed some fresh herbs really (but didn't have anything suitable in)
