I lurve bread, muffins, cake, potatoes, pasta so there is no chance of me giving it up. I find cutting out chocolate and doing exercise is enough

What do you eat instead of bread though? Was about to have beans on toast for lunch. What do I have them on instead?

oh god. I did this for a couple of months when ttc ds (I had pcos). It was soooo boring. Lots of salads for lunch at work instead of nice squidgy sangas. And meetings were pure agony - had to sit on my hands to keep them off the biscuits.

It does work though Smile.

Every day I say I'm not going to have bread and every day I do. Did Atkins for a while and really found I didn't crave it.

Find the with GI just knowing I can have some bread means I have lots.

So from tomorrow will try to do GI with no bread.

The thoughts of cod shouting "fat heifer" at me might just do it!!!

GDG....I'm a carboholic too.

Not eating much bread atm though as we're trying to get the kids to eat wholemeal bread and it's rank! like eating cardboard.

Are pitta's in the bread family then Cod?

GDG...its because Dh insists on buying medium sliced bread (you get more slices...he's very tight) and I only eat bread toasted so toasted medium sliced wholemeal IS cardboard!

Big fat doorstops of wholemeal/ganary is delish.....paper thin wholemeal is not.

Sorry, but its cheese on toast or pasta..... but as DH is doing chicken and rice for tea, i think toast night win - but 2 slices a day is fine, surely?!

THANK GOD have only had ham (straight from the packet, eaten standing up by open fridge door) and chocolate for lunch.

i DO like salad but its bloody freezing here!

dont like soup and dont like omlettes and detest yoghurt..... but thats about ti - will eat most other things or at least try them.

DH is a chef so my palate isnt that bad! evening meals are fine, it during the day i struggle

i could never abandon my toast!! love it .. lashings of anchor butter with peanut butter :P i know it's not healthy .. but have cut back from 5-6 slices to 3-4 now :)

may i add tha tlast summer iwent on a detox as in no bread,sugar/mushrooms/any yeast products and aftert the first week where i would have killed for a lsoce of bread or something sweet[and no i`m not exaggerating] i lost weight so easily as long as i didnt consume any of the above and by 6 weeks was getting rather slim evenif i say so my self plus i felt better , not so tired and lethargic plus i didint want to eat breadf anymore or sugar ..the craving s had gone and i hardlyeat bread anymore so go for it girls
