Bread is my biggest problem. Have had 5 peices already today, and thats a good day.

Mercy · 16/03/2006 16:14

Is it really just the bread - or the butter and everything else piled on top/in between?

notasheep · 16/03/2006 17:02

Call me stupid-but how does bread make you fat?!

I thought a turkey sarnie ( no butter,no mayo) was alright

cupcakes · 16/03/2006 17:06

I just had 3 slices of gorgeous multigrain with butter.
Think I'll lose more weight by cutting out biscuits and chocolates...

madmarchhare · 16/03/2006 19:21

its the carbs innit?

Cant beat a good old healthy balanced diet and all that. I just cut portions of everything down every now and then for about three weeks, no chocs, no take aways and Bobs your uncle.

I really do think thats all you have to do if your always within about a stone off your target weight.

edodgy · 16/03/2006 19:24

Malt loaf is actually very low in fat unfortunately the butter thats put on it is not!

FrannyandZooey · 16/03/2006 19:25

We make our own bread and if all 3 of us are at home often eat a loaf a day :)

expatinscotland · 16/03/2006 19:26

malt loaf is the boak.

we make our own bread in the bread machine. NO WAY i'm giving it up! mmmmm.

whole grain w/peanut butter and raisins. delish!

OP posts:
harpsichordcarrier · 16/03/2006 19:32

actually the only time I really lost LOADS of weight (apart from unhappy love affair) was when I gave up bread
god I used to miss it though
esp when dh made cheese on toast

georginarf · 16/03/2006 19:32

ah yes but you ruined the illusion by having 10 glasses of water. that's too healthy

georginarf · 16/03/2006 19:33

please do not mention cheese on toast

Is my absolute favourite thing
